About the role and you

You will lead all aspects of demand generation, creating a world-class demand gen machine that creates qualified leads and sales revenue across multi-channel programs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on demand generation and marketing operations experience at a B2B software company, be a creative thinker who is results-driven, enjoy complex problem solving, thrive on owning the process from beginning to end, and love working with sales teams. 

You have a talented team that spans digital marketing, campaigns, marketing operations, and events – your role is to stitch together a holistic view and deep analysis of pipeline and demand gen programs to tune and create new business opportunities for Salt Security.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute our digital marketing strategy, defining the program mix and executing comprehensive, multi-touch integrated demand generation programs that drive and accelerate pipeline, account acquisition, and penetration.
  • Build a dynamic and holistic view of our pipeline success, with clear conversion, invest-to-pipe data, and ROI analysis to identify patterns of success and opportunities to tune program choices to enhance and accelerate pipeline creation.
  • Surface critical insights on a weekly basis that executives can use to understand our prospect base, our strongest campaigns, and where we need to tune our approach.
  • Inspire and guide our talented demand gen team with clear communications and crisp insights, growing their skill base and helping to integrate their collective activities.
  • Drive collaboration among demand gen, product marketing, channel, BDR, and sales teams to focus team effort on the most impactful activities.
  • Provide feedback as needed on messaging and verbiage for online ads, nurture emails, and other digital campaigns.
  • Grow our website analysis capabilities, with contractors if needed, to illuminate web visitor journeys, suggest content changes, testing options, and other opportunities enhance our website visitor experience.
  • Refine our targeting, messaging, campaigns, and programs for specific industries, personas, and use cases based on pipeline insights.
  • Work with corporate events and field marketing team to ensure a robust approach to pre-show and post-show outreach and execution.
  • Ensure cohesion between campaign execution and BDR follow-up to maximize program results.
  • Collaborate with and help shape channel marketing efforts.
  • Enhance our sourcing, attribution, nurturing, lead routing, and other processes to accelerate pipeline.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of digital marketing experience in B2B tech – security experience preferred. Intimacy with our core tech stack (SFDC, Marketo, Google Analytics, Google Ads) is essential and other digital tools (e.g., 6Sense) are strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills – at the executive level, with peers and cross-functional teams, and as the leader of the broader demand gen team. You must be able to clearly articulate ideas, frame problems, and offer guidance and solutions that grow our team’s skills.
  • Strong analytical skills across the full pipeline and digital program analysis, with a proven track record for using data to tune digital programs, optimize performance across the web and outside programs, and determine ongoing investments.
  • Familiarity with global privacy laws as related to marketing activities is a strong plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly entrepreneurial, fast-changing, and collaborative environment where people are driven, enthusiastic, and not afraid to take risks.
  • Ability to execute quickly while remaining detail-oriented and delivering with high quality.
  • Ability to operate and excel at strategic as well as tactical levels.
