StreamElements provides production, monetization, audience engagement, and influencer marketing tools and services for livestreams and videos on demand. Our tools power over 1.8 million digital content creators. StreamElements also works with brands across all industries who want to sponsor content creators, providing them with performance marketing campaigns at scale.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Data Scientist at StreamElements, you will create innovative analytic and software solutions to solve business problems. Leveraging machine learning, statistical inference, optimization, and data modeling, your work will significantly influence our culture of measurement, testing, and optimization for our performance marketing platform.

In this role, you will also be responsible for the entire data journey– from architecture and modeling to visualization and insight development. This position demands a proactive approach, an analytical mindset, attention to detail, and outstanding communication skills.

We’re seeking candidates who can design, test, and optimize direct player‑incentive systems that keep our incentivized player acquisition marketing vibrant and competitive. You’ll transform data into strategy—running rapid experiments, modeling player behaviors, and translating insights into features that delight gamers while unlocking value for brand partners. We welcome diverse backgrounds and are committed to building an inclusive team, knowing that varied perspectives fuel the most innovative solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Drive strategic projects and measure the impact of the implemented recommendations.  Our core problems you’d be asked to solve at the moment are:
    • Design adaptive player‑incentive systems -  Build and iterate on real‑time reward algorithms (e.g., dynamic item pricing, bonus drops, challenge payouts) using reinforcement‑learning and causal‑inference frameworks to maximize player engagement, retention, and revenue.
    • Unlock the scale of high performing creators - Define and identify performance differentiators to incentivize high performing creators through pricing.
    • Optimize for lifetime value - Use data and inference to inform campaign design and pricing strategy to maximize lifetime value of performance marketing campaigns.
  • Design and execute multi-disciplinary data science solutions effectively and efficiently.
  • Autonomously leverage an advanced analytical toolkit to execute complex analyses, visualization and storytelling.
  • Partner with business leaders to work effectively across multiple technical teams to solve problems. You’ll play a pivotal role in building a positive culture across different areas of the organization.
  • Further the team’s technical capabilities by bringing novel methods from the field into StreamElements through research, software development, and teaching others.
  • Help create and promote an inclusive environment where team members feel comfortable and empowered.
Qualities
  • Extensive experience in incentivized traffic for gaming, performance marketing, or dynamic pricing.
  • Knowledge of one or more machine learning, statistical modeling, and optimization techniques relevant to StreamElement’s business.
  • You take pride in learning and becoming an expert source of knowledge on a particular subject. You are a valuable asset to bring into any conversation because you have a strong pulse on how many facets of the organization work.
  • Ability to methodically understand business context, define value propositions, and formulate complex data problems. Ability to clearly articulate the “why” behind a proposed solution to relevant stakeholders.
  • You have a deep analytical background with extensive experience executing complex analyses to drive organizational progress.
  • Ability to own key deliverables and use creative problem solving to deliver projects on time and iterate when necessary.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end software development, deployment, and monitoring workflows.
  • Proficiency in visualization tools such as Tableau, Shiny, or Seaborn.
  • Extensive experience in relational algebra, building SQL queries across complex relational databases.
  • Experience designing scalable data models and ETLs with tools like DBT.

Global Benefits & Perks:

  • Remote First - We'd been remote from the start (with a gathering space in Tel Aviv) and offer stipends for home office setup while making sure you have all of the tech you need to collaborate with your colleagues
  • Global Employees - With employees in over 25 countries, we are a true global community, reflective of our diverse creator user base
  • Diversity and Inclusion - Innovation starts with inclusion and to create the future we need people with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities
  • Internal Mobility Program - Development and career growth opportunities within, between, and across teams
  • Paid Time Off - Take the time you need to rest, relax, and make sure you can bring your best self to work
  • Equity- Every employee has the opportunity to own a portion of the company through our Employee Stock Options Plan
