Job Description:

Remitly's vision is to transform lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders. Since 2011, we have been tirelessly delivering on our promises to people who send money around the world. Today, we are reimagining global financial services and building products that extend beyond traditional barriers to give customers access to more of the services they need, no matter where they call home. Join over 2,700 employees worldwide who are growing their careers with purpose and connection with our customers while having a positive impact on millions of people around the globe.

About the Role:

We're looking for a Senior Content Designer to join our growing, collaborative, and creative team and immediately contribute to our mission of enhancing the lives of immigrants and their families by offering the most reliable global financial services products. In this role, you'll be creating UX content experiences for key product teams. You'll report to the Senior Manager of Product Content. This is a hybrid role to support team collaboration and is based in Remitly's office in Seattle, Washington.

You Will:

  • Lead UX product content design for key product teams, ensuring high-quality, clear content that serves Remitly's diverse, international audience. Your content will reflect a customer-friendly, confidence-boosting voice and tone that promotes customer trust and loyalty. Your content will be clear, concise, accessible, on-brand, and easy to localize. Beyond the in-product experience, you'll also ensure that communications (SMS, push notifications, and emails) are crisp and engaging, and help customers manage their transfers with ease.
  • Collaborate side by side with product designers to develop user flows and pinpoint the right components needed to create a friction-free user experience.
  • Join and partner with a team of fellow content designers: Pinpoint the just-right terminology to use in our apps and features. Contribute to team critiques and foster team skill building and growth.
  • Partner with other cross-functional teams, including:
    • UX research and analytics: You'll use data, user research, and voice of customer feedback to inform UX content design decisions. You'll collaborate with UX researchers and product designers on hypothesis creation, research planning, remote and in-person UX research sessions, and evaluation.
    • Product management: Partner on the creation and refinement of product requirements. Lead content-focused A/B experimentation to uncover content insights and continually optimize the customer experience. Collaborate on quality assurance testing and bug bashing.
    • Marketing: Develop and refine messaging frameworks and sweat the details over how they're reflected in the UX.
    • Engineering: Collaborate to ensure that the content you design comes to life for our customers exactly the way you intended.
    • Compliance, legal, privacy, and security: Ensure content alignment with international regulations.

You Have:

  • At least 3 years of content design experience with strong content strategy and UX writing skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, user experience, human-computer interaction, or equivalent experience.
  • A UX content design portfolio of in-depth case studies that showcases your content design thinking and how you approach, develop, and iterate your work.
  • Expertise with product design tools, especially Figma.
  • Familiarity with strategic content design tools and techniques including content audits, gap analyses, empathy maps, messaging frameworks, information hierarchy mapping, and voice-and-tone mapping.
