Job Description

Senior Manager –  Technology & Product Communications

Location: Hybrid: SF Bay Area or NY

Summary:

GEICO is looking for a Senior Manager, Technology & Product Communications for our internal communications team.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with leaders across engineering, product, infrastructure, and AI to translate complex initiatives into clear, engaging communications for associates across the company.

This work sits at the center of GEICO’s ongoing technology transformation - from product innovation to AI adoption and platform modernization. The goal is simple: help people understand what we’re building, why it matters, and where we’re headed.

Reporting to the Director of Internal Communications for Technology, this role is part of a small, high-impact team. The right person is a strong writer and storyteller who also brings strong organizational instincts - someone who can help bring clarity and structure to a wide range of communications while working closely with senior leaders.

This role is well suited for someone who enjoys bringing order to complex work while helping leaders communicate effectively.

Why This Role Matters

Technology is a big part of GEICO’s future. As the company continues modernizing its platforms, expanding product capabilities, and investing in emerging technologies, clear communication becomes essential.

This role helps bridge the gap between complex technical work and the broader organization, ensuring associates understand the direction of the technology organization and how their work connects to it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute internal communications plans supporting key initiatives across engineering, product, infrastructure, and AI.
  • Partner with leaders to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging messaging for associates.
  • Support communications around major initiatives, including product development, technology modernization, and exploring emerging technologies.
  • Create leadership messaging and executive communications including presentations, town hall content, leadership updates, and internal announcements.
  • Help bring structure and coordination to communications across multiple initiatives, ensuring messaging is organized, aligned, and delivered effectively.
  • Develop targeted communications that support new programs, organizational changes, and major priorities within the technology organization.
  • Partner with External Communications and other partners when technology initiatives require broader storytelling or external visibility.
  • Track engagement and feedback to help improve communications over time.

Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of experience in corporate or internal communications, ideally supporting technology, engineering, product, or digital organizations.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with the ability to explain complex ideas in simple, clear language.
  • Experience working with senior or technical leaders in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience supporting organizational change, technology transformation, or major business initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies and AI tools.
  • Experience using digital communication platforms and analytics to measure engagement.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
