The Senior Business Data Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders in driving our business strategies, understanding customer behaviors, and enhancing the overall customer experience for our business clients.  The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical background with a focus on B2B customer insights and analytics.

As a Senior Business Data Analyst, you will:

  • Gather, clean, and analyze large datasets related to B2B customer interactions to derive meaningful insights.
  • Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards that illustrate B2B customer behaviors, preferences, and trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate B2B customer insights into business strategies and decision-making processes.
  • Use advanced analytical techniques to forecast B2B customer behavior and identify potential opportunities and risks.
  • Create detailed and visually appealing reports that communicate B2B customer findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Identify areas for improvement in B2B data collection processes including evaluation of third-party data sources to append to internal data enhancing the richness and completeness of datasets.
  • Provide analytical support to the Sales and Marketing teams, helping to identify opportunities for growth and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Product Officer to provide insights on product performance and customer feedback.
  • Educate and mentor business stakeholders on the application of analytical approaches (including problem statement definition, decision trees, trending analysis, forecasting, key performance indicators, etc.) to improve data literacy.
  • Promote a data driven culture throughout GreatAmerica via active participation in a data champion community utilized for knowledge and best practice sharing.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Proficiency in analytical tools such as SQL, Python, Databricks, and advanced Excel.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex B2B datasets and translate findings into actionable business strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven ability to tackle difficult analytical challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Experience working within agile development frameworks. Ability to collaborate effectively in agile teams, adapt to changing priorities, and meet fast-paced deadlines.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
     

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Math, Information Systems, Statistics or relevant field.  Master’s degree or professional certification in business analytics is preferred.

Experience

  • Five or more years of experience performing business data analysis with a history of deriving actionable insights from complex datasets utilizing advanced analytics.  A focus on customer insights and analytics is preferred.
