Senior Business Analyst - Statistics

Responsibilities:

• Integrate datasets tracking healthcare billing and payment, medical reviews, and related operations

• Construct summaries and analyses for monitoring healthcare payments and evaluating medical review activities

• Contribute statistical expertise to research questions related to federal healthcare policies and payments

• Collaborate with a multi-skilled team of analysts and policy experts on project-based work

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an analytical field, such as statistics, mathematics, economics, or epidemiology, or similar academic experience

• 2+ years in data analysis or statistics, or master's degree in statistics or a related field

• Proficiency in statistical theory related to statistical sampling, estimation, and hypothesis testing

• Proficiency in Excel

• Proficiency in programming for data analysis in a language such as Python, R, SAS, or STATA

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years in data analysis related to Medicare

• Experience applying statistical sampling, estimation, and hypothesis testing (academic research projects considered)

• Data analysis proficiency in Python

• Querying proficiency in SQL

• Eligibility for federal background checks, including residence in the United States for at least 3 years out of the past 5 years
