Responsibilities:

Integrate datasets tracking healthcare billing and payment, medical reviews, and related operations

Construct summaries and analyses for monitoring healthcare payments and evaluating medical review activities

Contribute statistical expertise to research questions related to federal healthcare policies and payments
-
Collaborate with a multi-skilled team of analysts and policy experts on project-based work

Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree or higher in an analytical field, such as statistics, mathematics, economics, or epidemiology, or similar academic experience
-
2+ years in data analysis or statistics, or master's degree in statistics or a related field
-
Proficiency in statistical theory related to statistical sampling, estimation, and hypothesis testing
-
Proficiency in Excel
-
Proficiency in programming for data analysis in a language such as Python, R, SAS, or STATA
-

Preferred Qualifications:
-
2+ years in data analysis related to Medicare
-
Experience applying statistical sampling, estimation, and hypothesis testing (academic research projects considered)

Data analysis proficiency in Python
-
Querying proficiency in SQL
-

Other Requirements:

Eligibility for federal background checks, including residence in the United States for at least 3 years out of the past 5 years
