About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Application Analyst with deep expertise in Zuora Billing to drive financial technology solutions across all Zillow Group business lines.

As a Senior Applications Analyst, you will:

  • Lead end-to-end billing operations, ensuring seamless configuration, integration, and optimization of Zuora Billing alongside Stripe, Workday Financials, and Salesforce.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—engineers, analysts, and business leaders—to design scalable solutions that ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

  • Develop Zuora strategy, implementing configuration, integrations, and automation.

  • Design, configure, test, deploy, and support finance technology solutions, with a focus on Zuora Billing, Workday Financials, and Salesforce.

  • Lead Zuora Billing configurations, including product catalogs, rate plans, usage-based pricing, revenue recognition rules, and subscription lifecycle automation.

  • Partner with architects, engineers, business analysts, and product teams to drive seamless end-to-end financial solutions.

  • Identify and implement process improvements that improve audit compliance, scalability, and efficiency.

  • Research and evaluate new Zuora capabilities, advocating for improvements in billing, revenue recognition, and reporting.

  • Lead API-driven solutions when standard Zuora configurations do not fully meet business needs.

  • Monitor and resolve production issues, working with vendors, engineers, and finance partners to ensure system reliability.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $124,000.00 - $198,000.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.

  • 7+ years of experience with finance systems, including billing, accounts receivable, or payments automation.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Zuora Billing, including configuration, troubleshooting, and integration.

  • Deep understanding of SaaS billing models, subscription management, and ASC 606 revenue recognition compliance.

  • Experience integrating Zuora Billing with Workday Financials and Salesforce.

  • Demonstrable ability to craft scalable finance solutions across multiple systems.

  • Strong ownership mentality—a proactive problem solver who drives initiatives from start to finish.

  • Zuora Billing Architect certification (Solution Architect preferred).

  • Hands-on experience with Zuora Workflow, Data Query, and API-based customizations.

  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, JIRA, CI/CD).

  • Knowledge of Stripe or other payment gateways.

  • Familiarity with finance compliance requirements (SOX, PCI-DSS, audit readiness).
