Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Technician with experience performing comprehensive maintenance for Navy shipboard systems. In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with the Navy 3-M system. You will install, inspect, align, groom, modify, repair, and configure equipment associated with Aegis platforms. Equipment includes but is no limited to AN/SQQ-89(V)/A(V)15, AN/SQS-53B/C/D, AN/SQS-56, AN/SQR-19(V) TACTAS, AN/UQN-4/4A/10, AN/WQC-2/2A, AN/UYQ-25A/B, and SIMAS/SIMAS II. Work is performed at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, VA. SCSC is located on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and provides AEGIS and Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) combat systems for engineering, testing, training, and certification.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
This position requires a high school or GED diploma and ten (10) years of experience providing organizational-level preventive and corrective maintenance for ASW systems.
Must be willing and able to perform in a variety of 40-hour work-week configurations, including:
1. Monday-Friday (5 x 8): 1st Shift
2. Monday-Friday (5 x 8): 2nd Shift
3. Variable 4 x 10 shifts that may include weekends (4 days on/3 days off) and may be 1st or 2nd shift
4. Sliding (5 x 8) work weeks (Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday) and may be 1st or 2nd shift
Additionally, these work week configurations may rotate to meet mission requirements.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • A related U.S. Navy NEC.
  • U.S. Navy 3-M PQS 301 Maintenance Person qualification or higher and experience with SKED.
  • Experience with lockout/tagout.

Pay Information
This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
