BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Operations Program Manager (OPM) to join our team. The OPM will oversee and manage several contracts focused on the space electronics (SE) Program Areas and Advanced Microelectronics business areas. The OPM serves as the liaison between project management and a cross-functional team to ensure successful program execution. The selected candidate will lead the operations function for development programs including Single Board Computers (SBCs), Application- Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), and box-level contracts. Responsibilities will include oversight of all material acquisition and in-house fabrication, aligning with internal program objectives and customer requirements. In this role, the OPM will serve as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) and provide essential support to both internal program teams and external customers. The position also involves leadership in new business development, proposal bidding, cost account planning, and operational execution for the assigned program areas. This role is critical in driving coordination and alignment across functional teams and delivering on strategic objectives.
Primary responsibilities are shown below:

• Cost Account Manager for Operations material and labor budgets. Manages Operations performance against the baseline program plan by monitoring quality, schedule, and cost performance of all Operations functions assigned to a program
• Provides a "single point of contact" between Operations Team and the Program Office for providing program status and resolving problems. Presents Operations status to Customer, Program Management, and/or Operations Management as required
• Cross functional lead responsible for ensuring the factory, technical operations team, and supply chain teams properly support the production program and capital efforts
• Interfaces with the appropriate organization within Operations to ensure any changes which will impact assigned tasks have been appropriately communicated and addressed.
• Ensures that Operations provides a competitive proposal that is accurate, supportable, on time, and within the budget constraints defined by the Proposal Manager for any new follow-on production orders
• Promotes a strong sense of teamwork among personnel supporting various phases of the program efforts
• Responsible for all Operations metrics on the program
• Responsible for driving the Supply Chain Strategy and management of the Supply Base Quality through the Supplier Surveillance Strategy for the program
• Performs other related duties as required

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• BS in Electrical or Mechanical engineering, or an advanced degree in a relevant discipline, with 6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Ability to lead in a cross-functional team environment, with a customer-focused approach, and an aptitude for continuous improvement in serving internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business, technical, and operational issues and develop effective solutions.
• Experience supporting program execution and product development, including transition from development into a production environment.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with ability to effectively communicate complex information to various levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage and report program status with a project management discipline.
• Ability to provide strategic contributions while successfully executing on tactical objectives.
• Manufacturing background and experience in electronics manufacturing.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Lean and Six-Sigma Black Belt certified from an accredited source.
• Previous experience with Space products, ASICs development, manufacturing, and supply chain planning.
• Must be self-motivated, independent, and capable of leading a technical and manufacturing team.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
