In this role, you will:
- Support the development and implementation of pricing loss estimation analyses and recommendations to improve portfolio profitability and evaluate returns on new originations.
- Contribute to complex analytical and modeling initiatives by partnering with Pricing, Risk, Finance, and Auto Lending stakeholders to address business needs and support operational objectives.
- Analyze and maintain statistical models and analytical solutions using large-scale data sets to generate insights that support financial, risk, and business decision-making.
- Conduct analyses related to pricing strategies, credit loss assumptions, data modeling methodologies, and risk exposure to support business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor Auto portfolio loss performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance forecasting accuracy and portfolio performance.
- Collaborate with business partners and leaders to provide analytical insights and support risk management and pricing decisions.
- Apply knowledge of credit risk, loss forecasting, and risk-based pricing principles to support loss assumption development and profitability evaluations.
- Prepare and communicate analytical findings, forecasting results, and model outputs to stakeholders using advanced analytical tools and programming languages such as SAS and Python.
- Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive advantage for Wells Fargo
- Develop, test, analyze and implement strategies to achieve the financial objective relevant to macro-economic conditions
- Work closely with cross functional team (Tech, Product, Risk, Operations) to drive impact on a given product, problem, or initiative
- 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of experience in analytical work, including framing problems, conducting analysis, synthesizing insights, and influencing leadership decisions
- Experience with credit loss forecasting and pricing strategies within regulated financial services, including experience setting enterprise level assumptions that directly impact product pricing and profitability.
- Analytical capability (e.g., SAS, Python) with the ability to translate complex model outputs into actionable insights and business decisions.
- Strong financial acumen, including understanding of pricing P&L impact, margin trade-offs, and portfolio risk dynamics
- Proficient with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Demonstrated ability to interpret customer and operational data, identify themes, and translate insights into clear business recommendations
- Experience in auto lending or financial services.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated environment, partnering with Risk, Finance, Audit, and Regulators.
- Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail and data quality
- Understanding of statistical and advanced analytics techniques, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and machine learning
- Strong conceptual thinking and ability to drive clarity in ambiguity while dealing with credit and operational problems
- Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications
- Outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills based on analytics
- Adept in data analysis tools and programming (R, Python, SQL, SAS)
