Boomi is seeking a strategically-minded, analytically rigorous Senior Analyst to join our Strategic Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a consulting or similar background who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about solving complex business problems through structured thinking, deep analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will play a pivotal role in vetting high-impact investment proposals, conducting deep market and competitive research, and supporting leadership with data-driven insights to guide Boomi’s most important capital allocation decisions. You’ll partner closely with leaders across the company, including Strategy, Sales, Marketing, and R&D, and have frequent exposure to senior executives. Your insights will help inform Boomi’s capital allocation strategy and long-term growth.
This role reports to the Senior Director of Strategic Finance at Boomi.
What You’ll Do:
- Guide strategic investments: Vet high-priority investment proposals using a structured, consulting-style approach. Validate assumptions through expert calls, surveys, customer interviews, internal team discussions, and third-party data. Present findings and ROI assessments to guide senior leadership decisions.
- Market research and benchmarking: Perform competitive landscaping, conduct expert and customer surveys/interviews, and analyze best-in-class company strategies to inform investment decisions. Stay abreast of industry trends and synthesize insights into strategic guidance.
- Macro benchmarking & market tracker: Own Boomi’s macro benchmarking model—analyzing performance across revenue growth, margins, cost structure, productivity, and more. Compare Boomi to a cohort of SaaS peers and track trends over time to contextualize performance.
- Valuation analysis: Monitor public market valuations and identify what’s driving changes in SaaS multiples (e.g., macro trends, investor sentiment, operational performance). Translate this into actionable insights for leadership and the board.
- Prepare executive and investor-facing materials: Build narrative-driven presentations for executive stakeholders and the board. Highlight strategic opportunities and risks, supported by data and rigorous analysis.
- Strategic planning & collaboration: Partner with FP&A, Strategy, Product, and GTM teams to align financial strategies with broader company goals. Support long-range planning efforts with an external, investor-oriented lens.
The Experience You Bring:
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 4+ years in management consulting, private equity, or strategic finance
- Strong experience with market research, stakeholder interviews, and data synthesis
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/financial modeling and PowerPoint
- Clear, structured communication style with the ability to influence at the executive level
- Deep analytical skills and business acumen; able to evaluate trade-offs and recommend paths forward
- Familiarity with SaaS business models and associated KPIs
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Public SaaS company exposure with in-depth knowledge of the technology software industry and current market trends
- MBA or CFA
- Proficiency in tools like Pitchbook, Bloomberg, or FactSet

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation for this position in the US ranges between $130,000 - $180,000 annually + applicable bonus. This position is remote-friendly and, as such, final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
