LPL Financial is seeking a strong applicant to join our team as a member of our Corporate Development group supporting LPL’s Liquidity & Succession strategy. The Sr Analyst, Corporate Development is directly involved in strategic and general financial analysis, including growth initiatives through potential M&A transactions. The ideal candidate will support key functions of the M&A process including valuations, synergy analyses, due diligence, and performance reporting. This role will have direct exposure to top level management including C-Level executives.

LPL’s Liquidity & Succession Corporate Development team is an innovative, entrepreneurial, high-performing team tasked with analyzing and executing M&A for the Liquidity & Succession strategy. In this role you will become an expert on LPL’s Liquidity & Succession program and wealth management M&A.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and support financial analysis, synergies forecast, and valuation and due diligence of potential acquisitions
  • Collaborate with functional due diligence teams, including legal, finance & accounting, tax, human resources, operations, IT, sales, and strategy
  • Develop, in partnership with Business Unit leaders, financial projections for acquisition targets and integration plans
  • Prepare presentations and report to senior management on potential M&A transactions, capital structure, and strategic growth initiatives
  • Develop deep knowledge of the wealth management industry
  • Perform research, reporting and analysis on M&A activity and strategic partnerships in the industry
  • Monitor past acquisition metrics
  • Ad-hoc analysis, research, financial modeling, and additional responsibilities as required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field
  • 3+ years of corporate finance related experience (Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Strategic Finance, FP&A, etc.)
  • 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products, including expertise in Excel and PowerPoint

Core Competencies:

  • Functional knowledge of financial modeling, corporate finance, financial accounting, and company valuation concepts
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a dynamic environment
  • Exemplary communications skills, with the confidence to effectively present complex topics to deal teams and business leaders in a clear and actionable manner
  • Ability to work comfortably with incomplete information and manage ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills who is comfortable presenting problems and resolution recommendations
  • Positive attitude with a commitment to excellence and integrity

  • Wealth management industry experience

 

Pay Range:

$91,773.00 - $152,955.00
 
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
