CAPCO POLAND

* We are looking for Poland based candidate.

At Capco Poland, we’re not just another consultancy - we’re the spark behind digital transformation in the financial world. As a global leader in technology and management consulting, we thrive on helping clients tackle the toughest challenges across banking, payments, capital markets, wealth, and asset management.

Build secure, scalable AI solutions that turn banking innovation into production-ready capabilities.

The Role

As a Senior AI Engineer within our AI Delivery Team, you will provide the technical engineering expertise needed to take high-value banking AI use cases from assessment and experimentation through to working solutions.

Working alongside Engagement Managers, AI Consultants and client teams, you will help translate business requirements and use-case dossiers into robust technical designs, prototypes and production-ready AI capabilities. You will contribute hands-on across solution architecture, engineering, integration, testing and deployment.

You will work with modern AI approaches, including Generative AI and Agentic AI where appropriate, while ensuring solutions are engineered with security, privacy, explainability, auditability and human oversight in mind. You will also use approved AI-enabled engineering tools and automation to improve development speed and quality, with appropriate human review and validation.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build and iterate AI solutions for banking use cases, translating business and functional requirements into robust technical architectures, prototypes and production-ready capabilities.
  • Develop and integrate AI applications, including Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions where appropriate, connecting models with enterprise data, APIs, applications and existing banking technology environments.
  • Engineer the controls required for responsible and secure AI, including access control, logging, traceability, explainability, auditability, human oversight and reproducibility of AI-supported decisions.
  • Establish effective testing, evaluation and monitoring approaches for AI solutions, assessing performance, quality, reliability, security and appropriate model behaviour before and after deployment.
  • Use approved AI-enabled development tools and automation to accelerate engineering, testing, documentation and troubleshooting while maintaining human review, secure development practices and clear audit trails.

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated software or AI engineering experience, with hands-on experience designing, developing, integrating and deploying AI-enabled applications or services.
  • Practical experience working with AI technologies, including Generative AI, large language models and related application patterns, with an understanding of Agentic AI approaches.
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities with enterprise systems, data sources and APIs, with knowledge of scalable application architecture, cloud environments and modern software engineering practices.
  • Understanding of responsible AI and engineering controls relevant to regulated environments, including privacy, cybersecurity, access control, logging, explainability, auditability and human oversight.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with business, product, data, risk and technology stakeholders, translating requirements and use-case assessments into practical technical solutions.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience building AI solutions within banking, financial services or another regulated environment.
  • Experience with LLM application patterns such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool use, structured outputs, evaluation frameworks or AI agents.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML deployment, monitoring, observability and lifecycle management practices in enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of the EU AI Act and its implications for the design, engineering, documentation and governance of AI systems.
  • Curiosity and confidence in experimenting with approved AI engineering tools, automation and emerging AI capabilities while applying appropriate security, governance and human-in-the-loop controls.
