SAP Technical Lead

Perficient currently has a career opportunity for an SAP Technical Lead. This is a hybrid opportunity located in the San Juan, Puerto Rico area. Candidates not local must be able to travel.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Technical Lead. This role is responsible for overseeing the SAP landscape, ensuring system integrity, driving process improvements, and aligning SAP capabilities with business objectives. The ideal candidate will lead a team of SAP professionals and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient SAP solutions. 

Responsibilities

• • SAP System Management – Direct the daily operation, maintenance, and optimization of the SAP S/4HANA system, ensuring its availability, reliability, and scalability in alignment with business requirements. 

• • Team Leadership – Supervise and mentor SAP teams, promoting collaboration, accountability, and ongoing improvement. Allocate resources to optimize SAP capabilities and develop a long-term strategic roadmap for SAP activities across all GTS subsidiaries. 

• • Project Management – Oversee SAP-related projects, including upgrades, implementations, and integrations. Collaborate with business units to define requirements and deliver solutions within established timelines and budgets. 

• • Process Optimization – Proactively identify and implement opportunities for process automation and streamlining within SAP, establishing best practices and standards across all modules. 

• • Compliance & Security – Ensure SAP systems adhere to relevant internal controls and external regulatory standards. Administer user roles, authorizations, and data security protocols. 

• • Vendor & Stakeholder Management – Serve as the primary point of contact with SAP support partners and vendors, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to align IT initiatives with overarching business objectives. 

• • Change Management – Lead organizational change initiatives related to SAP systems and processes, developing comprehensive training materials and documentation to facilitate user adoption and ongoing system enhancements. 

Qualifications

• • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.  (Master’s preferred) 

• • 5+ years of experience in SAP system management, including supervisory roles. 

• • Strong understanding of SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, IM, SD, PP, HCM, etc.) and integration points. 

• • Working knowledge of SAP Products (S/4HANA, Fiori, GRC, Ariba, Success Factors, Concur, Solution Manager, Group Reporting, etc.) and related interfaces. 

• • Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration or implementation is a plus. 

• • Proven project management and team leadership skills. 

• • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities

     

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $64,974 to $149,880,.Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential variable compensation programs.
