Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Architect with expertise in SAP S/4HANA and SAP IS-U to lead technical solution design, integration architecture, and application support for utility clients. This role serves as a trusted technical advisor, partnering with clients, functional consultants, and development teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing SAP solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain SAP technical architecture across S/4HANA and SAP IS-U environments.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and architectural roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership for custom development, integrations, enhancements, and modernization initiatives.
- Design and support integrations using APIs, IDocs, web services, SAP Integration Suite, and related middleware technologies.
- Lead technical reviews, development standards, and governance activities to ensure solution quality and maintainability.
- Support production environments by troubleshooting complex issues, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Collaborate with clients and project teams on upgrades, transformations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Advise clients on SAP technology trends, S/4HANA innovations, and opportunities to improve business outcomes through new capabilities.
Required Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, preferred.
- 5+ years of SAP technical experience, including 3+ years supporting SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Experience supporting SAP IS-U solutions within utility organizations.
- Strong knowledge of:
- ABAP Development
- CDS Views and OData Services
- SAP Fiori and Gateway
- APIs, Web Services, and SAP Integration technologies
- SAP transport management and development lifecycle processes
- Experience troubleshooting complex SAP application and integration issues.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite.
- Familiarity with SAP Clean Core principles and RISE with SAP.
- Knowledge of SAP Basis concepts, including transports, upgrades, and landscape management.
- SAP certification in S/4HANA, SAP Technology, or related disciplines.
- Utility industry experience supporting electric, gas, or water providers.
