The Sales Representative role is a key position within Global Business Consulting (GBC) responsible for the generation of new and rapidly growing consulting sales. You will be recognized as an influencer within the travel industry. You will demonstrate sales experience with a strong commercial aptitude and collaborative focus, so that cross-functional approaches are maximized for the execution of turning prospects into closed deals, through increasing strengths of relationships, internal collaboration and relevance of offerings.

What You'll Do:

  • Represent the value proposition of GBT/GBC

  • Set and influence the strategic direction for bids - participate in RFP process

  • Participate in key prospect meetings & negotiations that will yield top-line growth for GBC

  • Be fully accountable for driving the entire sales cycle

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key internal partners

  • Build, develop and maintain positive relationships with key external partners

  • Support clients and provide a true consultative approach to make valuable contributions to their business travel needs

  • Utilize strong negotiation skills, and compelling rationale to overcome barriers, objections or resistance to achieve mutually beneficial solutions

  • Gains a commitment from the prospect to move forward by asking for the business and driving results

  • Work and contribute in a close and connected team environment

  • Identifiy client needs to configure, tackle and sell solutions that address requirements and deliver value

  • Identifies, engages, influences and persuades internally and key decisions makers externally

What We're Looking For:

Actively prospects to build a pipeline of opportunities, prioritizing by potential value, sales cycle length, and win probability:

  • Demonstrated track record of client consultative sales success in a matrixed organization

  • Outstanding relationship management and consultative sales skills required

  • You possess a sophisticated ability to synthesize client needs, Find opportunities, drive growth and develop innovative, value‑add and client focused solutions

  • Demonstrates strong communication skills across a variety of mediums and audiences

  • You are results focused, you demonstrates a competitive and positive attitude

  • You can adapt quickly to different situations and recover quickly from setbacks

  • A strong understanding of the external market; and In‑depth knowledge of the power of the GBC value proposition

  • Experience or exposure in the corporate travel industry is highly preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 30%

Considering candidates virtually throughout the US - occasional travel will be required

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $46,000 to $93,000.  The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role.  Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual Performance Based Incentive, which rewards participants based on company performance, one of our metric-driven Sales Incentive Plans (certain direct sales roles only), or one of our Client Management Incentive Award (CMIA) programs.  An eligible employee can only participate in one of these plans during an eligible period.  For information about our comprehensive US benefits programs and eligibility, please review our Benefits-at-a-Glance document.
