As a Sales Engineer at EngFlow, you’ll play a pivotal role at the intersection of sales and engineering, helping to drive business development and sales growth. You’ll provide technical expertise on Build and Remote Execution to our prospects and customers, enabling them to solve complex challenges with EngFlow’s cutting-edge tools. This is a high-impact, client-facing role that requires a deep understanding of build systems, cloud technologies, and development processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical domain expert on Build Solutions (e.g., Bazel, Chromium) for the sales team and key client relationships.
  • Customer Success: Configure, install, and support EngFlow products, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure our solutions meet client needs.
  • Articulate Technology: Clearly communicate EngFlow’s technology and value proposition to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels (executive, business, engineering).
  • Pre-Sales Support: Lead technical discovery, provide architectural guidance, and support sales campaigns by building strong client relationships.
  • Expert Guidance: Offer expertise in Bazel, Build Systems, distributed systems, cloud (AWS/GCP), DevOps, and IT operations to support clients and prospects.
  • Customer Success: Foster an environment focused on strategic customer success and feedback to shape product development.
  • Sales Outreach: Engage with potential customers via LinkedIn, Bazel Slack, GitHub, emails, etc., to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Prototyping & Tools: Develop prototypes and tools to assist in lead generation and broaden the addressable market.

  • Build Relationships: Engage with large enterprise customers and build relationships with engineers working with Bazel.
  • Contribute to the Community: Contribute to Bazel and other open-source projects, advancing EngFlow’s platform, which powers hundreds of companies like Snap, Fivetran, and Brave.
Requirements
  • Hands-on Bazel Experience: Practical experience working with Bazel.
  • Sales Engineering Experience: 4+ years in technical pre-sales or sales engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience (practitioners are welcome).
  • Software Development Proficiency: Strong development skills and understanding of programming concepts.
  • Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation and communication abilities, especially in technical environments.
  • Business & Technical Alignment: Ability to link business value to technical solutions.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Bazel, Build Technologies, Caching, Remote Execution, DevOps, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), and scheduling platforms.
  • Enterprise Experience: Experience implementing software solutions for large, dynamic enterprises.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, focusing on providing an exceptional customer experience.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
