Job Summary:

The Principal Risk Response Activation & Assurance Lead role provides dedicated risk response activation and assurance capabilities across Data, Technology, and Workforce Management Risk. The position ensures validated risks are translated into effective remediation plans, controls are independently validated before closure, and residual risks are appropriately assessed and reported. The role strengthens governance, improves issue resolution quality, reduces control failures, and enables more efficient management of risk remediation across critical data, workforce, and consumer technology domains. This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

As Principal Risk Response Activation & Assurance Lead (RRAL) role for Data, Tech and Workforce Management Risk (DTWR)  you will:

  • Activate validated data and workforce-related risks into structured remediation or formal acceptance pathways, ensuring rigor in data governance, data quality, entitlements, and workforce control remediation plans.

  • serves as the control-layer function for risk activation across data lifecycle controls and workforce management-related processes, validating evidence, enforcing assurance gates, and maintaining clear residual risk posture.

  • Convert validated data and workforce risks into proper remediation, compensating control, or acceptance routes

  • Ensuring response pathways align to data governance, data quality, access/entitlement, or workforce control gaps.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science or Cybersecurity.

  • 7+ years of related experience

  • Experience in assessing, managing, and driving remediation of cybersecurity, technology, data governance, or operational risks, including the development and execution of risk treatment and risk acceptance strategies.

  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, access and entitlement management, control frameworks, and assurance practices, with the ability to validate remediation evidence and evaluate residual risk exposure.

  • Proven ability to lead complex risk remediation initiatives and influence stakeholders across cybersecurity, technology, risk management, audit, data governance, and business organizations to achieve timely and sustainable risk reduction outcomes.

  • Familiarity with applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) techniques in cybersecurity contexts (e.g., anomaly detection, threat hunting, behavioral analytics, or risk scoring).
