Revenue Cycle Specialist

Supports healthcare revenue cycle operations, including claim submission, denial and accounts receivable follow-up, payment posting, credentialing, eligibility verification, reconciliation, and billing documentation. Tracks RCM metrics, communicates with payers and internal teams, resolves account issues, and supports process improvements while maintaining regulatory compliance. This is a remote U.S.-based role requiring reliable technology, secure workspace, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Handles medical billing, accounts receivable follow-up, denials, reconsiderations, appeals, collections, claim status monitoring, payment posting, and insurance correspondence. Provides patient reimbursement assistance, maintains HIPAA compliance, submits medical records, coordinates claim corrections with providers, and performs accurate data entry and transaction processing in EHR and billing systems. Requires strong knowledge of medical coding, insurance reimbursement, claims, EOBs, and physician-office billing procedures.

Codes professional-fee claims using CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM based on provider documentation and payer guidelines. Reviews coding accuracy and compliance, supports denial and appeal resolution, meets productivity standards, maintains certification, communicates reimbursement-impacting trends, and serves as a coding resource. Requires collaboration with physicians, office staff, billing teams, and management. Travel to satellite offices or practices may be required.
