Job Description

The Research Director is responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of research studies; growing client accounts by understand their needs, guiding the research strategy, and providing insightful presentation. The role provides mentorship and direction to the research managers.

To be successful, you must be experienced in the market research techniques, works to ensure profitability, quality control and project timeline while actively contributes to the division’s objectives.  

Responsibilites

  • Participate in the development of RFPs.  

  • Ownership of client accounts and grow the accounts by providing strategic counseling. 

  • Oversee the full cycle of large-scale or complex market research projects: from research methodology, questionnaire design, data analysis, report writing, and providing strategic recommendations. 

  • Ensure all project management steps in collaboration with the operations team are on track and delivery to clients on time. This includes validation of the questionnaire in test mode, training of interviewers, coordination of project fielding, monitoring and validating the pre-test, day-to-day monitoring of the fielded project, monitoring of qualitative projects (recruiting, incentives, etc.), and coordination of end-of-field steps 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the market research or strategic consulting industry as a consultant or market/ strategic research professional  

  • A minimum of 5 years of supplier-side custom research experience 

  • Proven expertise in quantitative and qualitative research 

  • Advanced skills in writing strategic reports and presentations 

  • Proven expertise in project management

  • Strong organizational skills: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once, working with different teams   

  • Strong Client Management skill: Adept at building and nurturing client relationships, understanding client needs and turning them into business opportunities. 

  • Strong analytical skills: Ability to analyze data based on the needs of clients and the research objectives  

  • A problem-solving mindset: To identify, communicate and propose solutions to problems that may arise   

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills: Ability to convey complex data and insights in a clear and compelling manner.   

  • Demonstrates basic technical and automation skills; effectively uses digital and AI tools with strong critical thinking and problem solving, while showing change resilience, adaptability, curiosity, and continuous learning agility
