The Role

As a Regional IT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of data center IT operations within a dedicated region. You will provide strategic and operational leadership to multiple Data Center IT Managers, ensuring consistent service delivery, high availability of infrastructure, and alignment with business objectives.

This role requires a strong leader with hands-on experience in data center environments, capable of balancing day-to-day operational excellence with regional planning, standardization, and optimization of IT processes.

You will act as the key escalation point for regional IT operations, driving best practices, operational maturity, and cross-site collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and manage Data Center IT Managers across the assigned region.

  • Establish clear goals, KPIs, and performance expectations aligned with global IT operations strategy.

  • Ensure consistent implementation of operational standards, procedures, and best practices across all regional data centers.

  • Act as the senior escalation point for critical incidents and operational risks within the region.

  • Oversee regional IT infrastructure operations, including servers, networking equipment, storage systems, and supporting hardware.

  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of mission-critical systems, including GPU clusters and high-density environments.

  • Monitor operational health and capacity across sites, proactively addressing risks and bottlenecks.

  • Review major incidents and root cause analyses, driving corrective and preventive actions.

  • Govern regional change activities related to hardware installation, upgrades, decommissioning, and migrations.

  • Promote automation, standardization, and documentation across data center IT operations.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, global IT teams, and external vendors or colocation partners.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and operational SLAs

  • Provide regular reporting on regional performance, risks, capacity, and improvement initiatives to senior management.

  • Ensure adherence to security, safety, and compliance requirements within data center environments.

We Expect You to Have
  • Experience managing multi-site or regional data center operations.

  • 8+ years of experience in data center IT operations, including hands-on infrastructure support.

  • 5+ years of proven people management experience, leading managers or large technical teams.

  • Familiarity with high-performance computing (HPC) or GPU-based environments.

  • Strong background in server hardware, enterprise networking equipment, and data center technologies.

  • Solid understanding of data center operations, lifecycle management, and support models.

  • Practical experience in project planning, execution, and cross-site coordination.

  • Knowledge of ITIL / ITSM practices and operational support processes.

  • Experience with IT asset management processes and RMA.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and drive data-driven improvements.

It Will Be an Added Bonus If You Have
  • ITIL, PMI, or similar professional certifications.

  • Driving License (Category B).
