Inside the Role

Daimler Truck Financial Services is seeking a strategic and forward thinking Regional Credit & Portfolio Risk Manager to join our Credit Risk organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer, this role is central to strengthening our credit governance, enhancing portfolio performance, and driving enterprise aligned risk strategies across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
This is an opportunity to shape the future of credit risk management in the commercial trucking and captive finance sectors—bringing together analytics, leadership, and cross functional collaboration to support a resilient and high performing portfolio.

What you Drive at DTFS

Credit Governance & Oversight

  • Oversee timely and high‑quality credit submissions across North America.
  • Ensure compliance with Global Credit Rules and Product Rules.
  • Review and delegate credit files, communicate quality issues, and support presentations to Regional Credit Review Committee and Global Executive Committee/Board of Directors for large transactions.
  • Manage follow‑up on audits, risk reviews, and procedural updates.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop the Region Credit Team and Portfolio Risk Management team.
  • Strengthen capabilities in data preparation, visualization, and analytics.
  • Support development and validation of scorecard and rating models.

Portfolio Analytics & Emerging Risk Identification

  • Monitor industry trends and operational shifts to identify emerging risks.
  • Analyze portfolio performance and recommend strategy adjustments.
  • Partner with Controlling and AI teams to build predictive analytics for operational risk forecasting.

Cross‑Functional & Enterprise Collaboration

  • Collaborate with DTNA on shared analytics, market insights, and strategic priorities.
  • Lead monthly Portfolio Performance Reporting (PPR) for North America.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly risk portfolio reports for the Chief Risk Officer and senior leadership.
  • Align with HQ Chief Risk Officer on global risk strategies and reporting standards.
  • Design scalable governance frameworks tailored to captive finance and commercial trucking.

Knowledge you should bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred: Accounting or Business Administration).
  • 8+ years general business experience.
  • 5+ years credit/underwriting experience.
  • 5+ years management experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities.

  • Ability to translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences.
  • Experience managing multiple projects across diverse business units.
