Job Overview

We’re looking for a People Operations Generalist who can take meaningful ownership across both Recruiting and People Operations. Joining a lean People team, you’ll have room to solve problems and help shape the infrastructure that allows our team of Heroes to do their best work. For your first 60 days, recruiting will be your primary focus. You’ll take over active searches, proactively find strong candidates, and build trusted partnerships with hiring managers. After 60 days, People Operations will become the foundation of your role. You’ll take ownership of core employee lifecycle work, systems and day-to-day processes while continuing to run recruiting as hiring needs arise.

We’re looking for someone who is curious, resourceful, and self-directed. You’ll have the opportunity to strengthen the employee experience while finding better ways for our People team to work through thoughtful process improvements, automation, and emerging technology.

This role could be a great fit for someone who has already worked as a People or HR Generalist and brings strong recruiting experience. It could also be the right next step for a strong recruiter who wants to expand beyond talent acquisition and take on more ownership across the employee lifecycle.

What You’ll Do
Recruiting

  • Own Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage hiring manager intake, review applications, conduct recruiter screens, compile feedback, schedule interviews, and present offers.
  • Build Candidate Pipelines: Proactively source qualified candidates instead of relying only on inbound applications.
  • Run Recruiting Operations: Keep our ATS (JazzHR) current and communicate with candidates promptly at every stage.

People Operations

  • Employee Lifecycle Operations: Run onboarding, transitions, and offboarding logistics by coordinating across teams, maintaining employee records, and managing People processes.
  • Employee Support: Be a go-to resource for everyday People questions and help create an experience grounded in clarity and empathy. Manage day-to-day employee requests, resolve what you can independently, and route more complex matters to the right person.
  • People Systems & Data: Maintain accurate People data and support recurring reporting on headcount, hiring, turnover, and organizational changes.
  • Compliance & Training: Coordinate required trainings, track completion, maintain documentation, and conduct regular audits of employee records and People processes.
  • Global Administration: Work with our PEO and EOR partners (Justworks and Deel) to support employment administration across our distributed workforce, including benefits and payroll.
  • People Programs: Support the execution of People programs and events by managing logistics, communications and follow-through.

Build Better Ways of Working

  • Challenge the Process: Ask why we do things the way we do. When you see an opportunity to simplify a process, save time, or create a better experience, bring forward a better approach.
  • Explore Better Tools: Stay curious about automation and emerging technology. Look for tools and capabilities that can reduce manual work or help the People team operate more effectively.
  • Ship Improvements: Don’t stop at identifying an opportunity. Test ideas, build practical solutions, and help make better ways of working part of how we operate.

You’ll be successful here if you have:

  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with significant hands-on sourcing experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Slack.
  • Experience working in People systems and an interest in learning new technology.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a consistent focus on accuracy, completeness, and catching issues before they create downstream problems.
  • The ability to manage your work independently within clear guardrails, translate direction into action, and consistently drive work through to completion.
  • Good judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • A process-improvement mindset. You notice when there’s a more efficient way to get something done.
  • A curious and resourceful mindset, with the instinct to research unfamiliar questions and build your own understanding.

We also value:

  • Experience recruiting for technical or hard-to-fill roles.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: JazzHR, ChartHop, Justworks, or Deel.
  • Experience building workflows or automating a manual process.
  • Experience supporting a distributed or global workforce.
