Job Responsibilities:
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to Autosystems Quality Management Systems
- Ensure all Team Members are adhering to the Quality Management System
- Performs required Quality Inspections.
- Ensures adherence to Quality Routines in all plant functions.
- Ensures Product ID's are visible and correct on all inventory items.
- Ensures proper preservation of all inventory.
- Enforces First Piece / Last Piece routines are completely by all stations.
- Inspects incoming inventory for defects when needed.
- Audits to ensure that all quality inspections are completed.
- Oversee Rework and Re-Inspection Teams.
- Approve Re-Inspections.
- Performs Layer Process Audits.
- Train associates on quality inspection process.
- Act as quality subject matter expert (SME).
- Verify mistake-proofing methods.
- Elevate non-compliance concerns.
- Create daily records.
- Special projects as assigned.
- Ensure completion of First off Documentation
- Audit process parameters
- Drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with assembly to make quality related decisions on parts
- Lead sort activities
- Make Quality Alerts
- Lead PPSR & Red-X problem solving activities.
- Maintain Equipment for the quality department.
- Enter and Train gauging processes.
- Use CompliantPro to update JI's, Characteristics and First Off Documentation
- Enter and analyze data in
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge of current Health and Safety regulations, OHSA.
- Working knowledge of Autosystems, Quality Management System.
- Ability to promote teamwork and creativity in the workplace.
- Good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Ability to train effectively
- Ability to master every assembly station is assigned area
- Must possess initiative, and a willingness to learn.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Candidate must demonstrate a proven track record in performance and attendance in current position (below 3 points and no Reminder 1 in the last 6 months).
- Aptitude for working with numbers and a high degree of accuracy.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of molding and assembly departments
- Good knowledge of part quality standards
- Ability to understand and teach the quality inspection card
- Past experience as a Quality Lead or End of Line Quality Inspector
- Ability to work with CompliantPro
- Strong knowledge of Word and Excel
- Minimum High school graduate or equivalent experience
- Ability to identify common molding defects
- Good working knowledge of blackhawk and Trumble
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to use Pin Gauges, Calipers and other measuring devices
- Working knowledge of TS16949, ISO9001 & Auditing Processes
- Understanding of mold tooling concepts
- Understanding of mold material concepts
- 3 years' experience in automotive environment, with a strong technical background (preferred)
Language Skills: English
