Quality Engineering & Testing Lead

Valiant Solutions is seeking a Quality Engineering & Testing Lead to join our rapidly growing and innovative team!

The Quality Engineering & Testing Lead develops and executes the enterprise testing strategy for AirHub. This individual leads all functional, integration, system, regression, automation, performance, user acceptance, and external stakeholder testing activities.

The role manages contractor testing staff, coordinates testing with the client's testing resources, and establishes the testing framework supporting Agile development and phased releases.

Required Experience

• 12+ years of software testing experience.
• 8+ years of experience leading enterprise QA or Quality Engineering organizations.
• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with TestRail and Agile testing practices.
• Experience leading UAT programs and coordinating business-user testing.
• Experience testing APIs, databases, cloud applications, and integrated enterprise systems.
• Strong leadership, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting Federal software delivery preferred.

 Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the AirHub Test Strategy.
• Establish and lead the AirHub Quality Engineering practice.
• Manage contractor test engineers. 
• Coordinate EPA testing resources. 
• Own UAT test planning, execution governance, defect management, results, and quality exit criteria in coordination with the Implementation Lead and EPA business stakeholders.
• Provide testing results and quality criteria to support Beta and Production release readiness decisions.
• Establish and mature the automated testing framework.
• Oversee TestRail governance. 
• Define release quality metrics. 
• Coordinate external stakeholder testing activities.

The salary range for this position is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. It has been benchmarked in relation to the scope of the role, market rate, and internal equity. The salary for this role is expected to be in the $120,000- $140,000 range. Where a candidate falls within the band can be determined based on one or more of the following: skillset, experience level, achievements, education, geographic location, security clearance, involvement in corporate tasks, and other non-discriminatory factors. In addition to the base salary, this role will include benefits as described above.  Valiant reserves the right to adjust the salary range, experience requirements, and position responsibilities at any time without prior notice.
