At CESO, the QC Manager is responsible for ensuring that architectural designs and documentation meet the highest standards of quality, code compliance, and design integrity. A significant part of this position involves conducting thorough Quality Control reviews across projects, guiding teams in the application of architectural standards, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. The QC Manager also develops training resources and mentors staff to promote consistency and excellence in design execution. In addition, this position contributes to firm-wide design and quality initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to design excellence. This position requires close coordination with project teams, technical leaders, and stakeholders to achieve optimal project outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist team members by providing technical direction.
- Serve as a Quality Control reviewer in the Architectural Practice Area, overseeing the accuracy and consistency of architectural designs, ensuring compliance with company design standards, code requirements and constructability.
- Mentor architectural design staff, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development.
- Suggest revisions and enhancements to company design standards, BIM/CAD standards, and QA/QC processes, promoting continuous improvement.
- Provide technical assistance regarding design, code interpretations, constructability, and/or program modifications to enhance project outcomes.
- Assist in the development and delivery of technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions tailored to the needs of developing architectural staff to enhance their understanding of architectural design concepts, tools, and best practices.
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment to meet project deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Architecture or related field is required.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in architecture is required.
- Registered Architect (RA) licensure is required.
- NCARB Certification is preferred.
- CSI – CCS and/or CDT certification is preferred.
- Computer skills necessary to enter daily timesheet data and use Microsoft Outlook for email correspondence.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, and/or AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Newforma Konekt.
- Advanced knowledge of Bluebeam Revu.
