About the role and what you'll be doing: 

Ensono’s Cloud Consultancy team is expanding to meet increasing client demand for complex, high-value cloud transformation projects, ranging from traditional lift-and-shift migrations to advanced platform modernization (VM to PaaS or serverless). We are seeking Senior Consultants to join our AWS team, delivering thought leadership and high-quality solutions for enterprise clients leveraging AWS public cloud.

As a Senior Consultant, you will lead client engagements from initial technical scoping through hands-on implementation of AWS environments. You will serve as a technical authority within the consultancy team, providing expertise and guidance to both clients and colleagues. The role also includes supporting internal innovation projects to develop new AWS capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design workshops and articulate AWS product capabilities to clients and stakeholders.
  • Create solution design documentation and deliver technical presentations.
  • Scope projects and design solutions in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
  • Mentor and upskill team members; serve as technical escalation point.
  • Deploy, configure, and optimize AWS environments and solutions.
  • Support integration, testing, and troubleshooting of AWS solutions.
  • Provide technical governance and oversight for client engagements.
  • Conduct peer reviews of technical documentation.
  • Define and maintain technical standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to product development and internal capability building.
  • Lead and execute migration projects involving servers and applications from private cloud or on-premises environments to AWS public cloud, including assessment, planning, execution, and optimization.
  • Ensure successful migration of mission-critical workloads, including re-platforming, re-hosting, and modernization as needed.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop migration strategies, perform readiness assessments, and deliver seamless transitions to AWS.
  • Work effectively as part of an international team, collaborating across multiple time zones and cultures to deliver successful client outcomes.
  • Leverage and encourage the use of AI-powered tools and solutions in daily work to drive efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Need:

Non-Technical Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience (senior consultant or team lead).
  • Self-motivated, organized, and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and presentation abilities.
  • High integrity and respect for others.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with international teams and stakeholders, adapting to diverse working styles and cultural expectations.

Technical Requirements:

  • Expertise in AWS migration tools (Application Migration Service, DMS, Migration Hub, App2Container).
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code and automation tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, AWS Systems Manager).
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools (AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native and modernization technologies (Lambda, EKS/ECS including Fargate, Docker, Helm, AWS SAM).
  • Familiarity with monitoring, security, and optimization tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray, Trusted Advisor, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Config, Cost Explorer).
  • Scripting and programming in Python, PowerShell, Bash, YAML, JSON.
  • Experience with AWS governance and management tools (Control Tower, Organizations, IAM, KMS, Service Catalog, EventBridge, Step Functions).
  • Demonstrated experience in migrating servers and applications from private cloud or on-premises environments to AWS public cloud, including planning, execution, and post-migration optimization.
  • Experience with migration tools, methodologies, and best practices for cloud adoption.

Desirable Skills:

  • Leading technical and executive workshops to architect solutions.
  • Documenting architecture designs and planning transitions to support.
  • DevOps background; experience with serverless and container technologies (Lambda, Docker, EKS/ECS including Fargate).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Industry Qualifications:
  • 7+ years in technology consulting leadership roles.
  • 4+ years in AWS technology planning and implementation, with a track record of leading large-scale AWS projects.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required; Master’s Degree preferred.

Certifications:

  • At least one Professional-level AWS certification.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this role is $140,000 to $160,000 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that placement in the range may vary based on numerous factors including but not limited to skills, experience, internal equity, and business needs. In addition to base salary, other compensation programs, depending on eligibility, include an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance and an equity grant under our Associate Equity Appreciation Program.
