The Quality Completions Manager is a key figure in the management of large projects and an essential member of the quality completions management team for projects. Reporting to either the Project Quality Completions Manager, this role is responsible for leading daily completions activities while supervising Quality Completions Supervisors, coordinators, inspectors, and specialists. On mega-projects, this position may oversee a single function within the quality completions management group.

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Quality Completions team, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entries into the completions database.
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, and commissioning teams to align tasks and inspections with project schedules.
  • Conduct regular meetings to facilitate clear communication between project management, executive management, and the completions team.
  • Supervise the receipt, review, and accurate entry of all project-related subcontractor documents.
  • Lead completions walk-downs to verify the readiness of systems and equipment for the next project phase.
  • Manage the turnover process, including the preparation of turnover documents for commissioning and/or the client.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to Quality Completions Supervisors, coordinators, inspectors, and specialists.
Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills: 

  • 5+ years of industrial construction experience
  • In-depth understanding of the construction process, with a focus on completions.
  • Working knowledge of QA/QC inspection processes, ITPs, and related QA/QC documentation requirements.
  • Strong database and technical skills, with the ability to oversee various software and tools related to completions.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive projects to completion, and coordinate across multiple departments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of liaising with stakeholders from field staff to executive management.
  • Hands-on field experience is beneficial, but exceptional management skills can be a substitute.
  • Ability to navigate the unique challenges of large projects and mega projects while adapting to evolving requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc. 
  • Previous commissioning or completions manager
  • Bachelor’s degree in a construction or technology related field
  • 10 years industrial construction experience
