Pay Range:

Make a Difference in Cardiovascular Research

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Project Manager I to support a portfolio of cardiovascular research studies within the Department of Cardiology. In this role, you will partner with investigators and research teams to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate clinical and translational research projects that advance cardiovascular care and improve patient outcomes.

Essential Functions
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of multiple cardiovascular research studies, ensuring projects are completed on time and in accordance with study protocols.

  • Coordinate study activities including startup, recruitment, enrollment, data collection, follow-up, and closeout.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, study documentation, procedural manuals, and tracking tools.

  • Monitor study progress, prepare reports, and oversee quality assurance and compliance activities.

  • Ensure adherence to sponsor requirements, institutional policies, and applicable federal and state regulations.

  • Collaborate with investigators, research staff, sponsors, and other stakeholders to support successful study execution.

  • Assist with study budgets, financial tracking, and progress reporting.

  • Support training and coordination of research personnel.

  • Participate in data analysis, manuscript preparation, and dissemination of research findings.

  • Serve as a liaison between the research team and internal and external partners.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Psychology, Life Sciences, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

  • Three (3) years of experience in clinical research, research administration, healthcare operations, project management, or related healthcare activities.

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred
  • Master's degree in a related discipline.

  • Experience supporting cardiovascular or other clinical research studies.

  • Experience in an academic medical center or healthcare research environment.

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of clinical research processes and scientific principles.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and research-related systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.
