Job Description:

The Job/What You'll Do:

The Program Lead is responsible for managing AssetMark’s portfolio of series and key events. This role will emphasize trade show execution, timeline management, cross-functional coordination, budget accountability, and ROI analysis. It demands operational excellence, attention to detail, and an ability to drive outcomes through collaboration and project discipline.

This role ensures seamless execution of sponsored and hosted events while maximizing brand exposure and engagement. Additionally, this position will oversee the sponsorship outreach and fulfillment for AssetMark-hosted events, including Gold Forum, Platinum Summit, and Women’s Advisor Forum.

The ideal candidate is an experienced event professional with expertise in trade show logistics, sponsorship management, and vendor coordination. This person will act as a strategic partner across internal teams, aligning event execution with business objectives while ensuring a high return on investment for all sponsorship engagements.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our office location in Charlotte, NC or Concord, CA

Responsibilities:

Third-Party Sponsored Events & Trade Show Management:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for AssetMark’s presence at sponsored third-party events, ensuring alignment with brand and business goals
  • Manage end-to-end trade show participation, including booth design, exhibitor logistics, sponsorship activations, and attendee engagement
  • Optimize exhibit spaces for maximum brand visibility and lead generation
  • Coordinate all logistics, including venue contracts, shipping, setup, teardown, and vendor management
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and leadership to develop strategies that drive advisor engagement and business development opportunities at these events
  • Analyze event performance, collect stakeholder feedback, and provide post-event reports to measure success and optimize future participation

Sponsorship Outreach & Fulfillment for AssetMark Events:

  • Lead sponsorship outreach efforts for AssetMark-hosted events, managing relationships with sponsors to secure participation and maximize engagement.
  • Oversee the creation of sponsorship prospectuses and pitch materials in collaboration with marketing and sales teams
  • Act as the primary liaison for sponsors, ensuring contractual obligations are met, including branding, on-site activations, and speaking opportunities
  • Manage the sponsorship fulfillment process, ensuring seamless communication, deliverable execution, and post-event reporting
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure sponsored elements within AssetMark events are well-integrated and deliver value to both sponsors and attendees

General Event Operations & Strategic Collaboration:

  • Partner with marketing, creative, and finance teams to develop event strategies, budgets, and execution plans
  • Maintain vendor relationships, including exhibit design firms, event technology providers, and logistics partners
  • Ensure seamless integration of pre-event, during-event, and post-event marketing efforts to maximize impact
  • Track sponsorship and event ROI metrics, reporting key insights to leadership
  • Identify and implement efficiencies to enhance AssetMark’s event and sponsorship strategy

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of trade show logistics, sponsorship management, and event marketing
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and navigate fast-paced environments
  • Proven ability to track and manage budgets effectively.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders, sponsors, and vendors
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience in PowerPoint and Excel preferred
  • Highly detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
  • Working knowledge of campaign functions in Salesforce is preferred
  • Proficiency in event technology, including CRM platforms, event apps, and sponsorship tracking tools, is preferred
  • Ability to travel (30%) is required.

Education & Experience:

  • BA degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in event management, sponsorship marketing, or trade show planning

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $95,000-$105,000 for Charlotte and between $110,000-$120,000 for Concord.

 

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
