Position Overview

This position is responsible for all underwriting tasks related to assigned underwriting files to promote premium growth and target loss ratio results.  Responsibilities include meeting key performance metrics related to service guidelines, compliance, and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and underwrite a profitable renewal portfolio of Cyber, Media, and E&O coverages.
  • Evaluate, select, and price cyber insurance policies to achieve premium and profitability goals in accordance with underwriting guidelines and authority.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, including quote, bind, and claims ratios, and take appropriate responsive action to meet business objectives.
  • Develop and manage assigned relationships with partners, brokers and agents and ensure proper servicing of accounts.
  • Participate in conducting internal underwriting audits to ensure compliance with all applicable guidelines.
  • Work closely with other parts of the business, including product, claims, and technology, to ensure proper execution of underwriting processes. 
  • Comply with corporate policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable code of conduct.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Must have 7+ years in cyber underwriting.
  • General commercial and financial knowledge.
  • Communication skills across functional areas.
  • Knowledge of underwriting processes and systems.
  • Client service experience.
  • Working knowledge of cyber insurance coverages and claims process.
  • Ability to manage time and priorities and execute on timelines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% as necessary.
Education

• Bachelor’s degree.

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
