Production Supervisor (Fr-Sun, 6pm-6am)
Overview

US Conec is seeking a Weekend Shift Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations. This position will work three 12 hour days, however hourly rate is adjusted so total weekly pay is equivalent to a 40-hour schedule. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient production while meeting quality standards and delivery commitments across all product lines. The supervisor will provide technical support, develop team members, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate all weekend shift production activities to meet safety, quality, and output targets.
  • Support all US Conec product lines through troubleshooting, process support, and technical guidance.
  • Provide hands-on technical support including product analysis, testing, measurement discrepancies, and equipment alignment.
  • Drive continuous improvement and product enhancement projects.
  • Plan and assign work schedules for 2nd and 3rd shift production associates.
  • Ensure smooth shift transitions and operational continuity.
  • Support training, certification, and development of manufacturing associates.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management of production personnel.
  • Maintain quality system requirements and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of production and inspection equipment.
  • Utilize ERP systems as needed to support inventory, cost analysis, and production planning.
  • Analyze inspection data and production metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Must Haves
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (molding, machining, assembly, or similar).
  • Prior experience in a Production Supervisor or manufacturing leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems.
  • Working knowledge of machining, tooling, fixturing, and assembly practices.
  • Experience with statistical tools such as SPC, DOE, and measurement R&R.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Nice to Haves
  • Degree in engineering, technical, or related field.
  • Experience with product costing and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with metrology equipment (CMM, interferometers, microscopes, gauges).
  • Knowledge of fiber optic assemblies and testing methods.
  • Experience using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
