The Metrology Engineer develops and optimizes metrology tools and programs, ensuring accurate testing and analysis in fiber optic manufacturing while collaborating with multiple teams.

Supervise back-shift manufacturing operations, ensure safety and quality, provide technical/troubleshooting support, train and manage production staff, drive continuous improvement, and use ERP and inspection data to meet output targets.

Lead discovery and evaluation of advanced manufacturing and product technologies. Plan and run experiments, perform hands-on machining and metrology, analyze data with statistical tools, document results, and support integration of validated technologies into production.

Support procurement, supplier management, inventory planning, and purchasing to ensure timely materials, optimize costs, and improve supply chain performance in a manufacturing environment.

Lead product development and lifecycle for assigned fiber-optic connectivity lines. Analyze market and sales data to inform strategy, pricing, and portfolio decisions. Define product requirements, coordinate new product development, vendor qualification, supply chain and tooling, support sales and marketing, resolve quality issues, and maintain technical knowledge of fiber optics and network architectures.

Lead plant financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Manage cost accounting, inventory valuation, budgeting, capital planning, and ERP data integrity. Partner with plant and corporate leadership to drive cost-reduction, process improvements, and ensure GAAP/SOX compliance.

Lead business and technology development for fiber-optic/data-center markets by building customer relationships, identifying product opportunities, defining requirements with engineering, managing development programs, and representing the company at industry events.

Manage strategic customer relationships and achieve sales targets across assigned accounts; grow Core/Key/Growth accounts; coordinate with Customer Service, Product Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing; support product development, marketing, and trade shows; provide monthly reporting and resolve field performance issues.
