Support mortgage bankers in originating commercial real estate loans by performing preliminary screening, underwriting analysis, loan structuring, preparing loan packages and lender submissions, market and comparable property research, maintaining contact databases, and assisting lead generation using third-party data sources.
Summary:
This position supports mortgage bankers responsible for originating loans with our various capital providers including Agency, FHA, LifeCo, CMBS, Banks, and Debt Funds.
Major Responsibilities:
Assist Originators with the following activities:
- Assist in determining viable loan executions and financing alternatives for customers.
- Review materials provided by borrowers and help ensure needed information for preliminary loan analysis is received.
- Handle the preliminary screening, underwriting analysis, and structuring of lending opportunities with our various capital providers.
- Prepare preliminary loan packages, presentations, and submission to lenders and investors.
- Assess the strengths and weaknesses of transactions including market analysis and review comparable properties.
- Complete forms for pre-application and firm application packages.
- Assist with maintenance of a contact database of borrowers, lenders, brokers, and others in the commercial real estate and finance industry.
- Develop and maintain internal and external relationships to ensure a timely and efficient loan submission process.
- Provide market research data for loan opportunities and assist with lead generation efforts using various third-party data sources.
Minimum Requirements:
(experience, education, ksa)
- 0 - 2 years of experience in a commercial real estate mortgage loan production office or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance or equivalent education and related training
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong excel and modeling skills preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
