About Greenplaces

We're on a mission to make sustainability accessible and impactful for businesses of all sizes—not just the Fortune 500. Through our innovative software and services, Greenplaces helps companies measure and track their carbon emissions and serves as a source of truth for business sustainability activity. Headquartered in Raleigh, NC, with team members in San Francisco, New York, Charleston, and more, we're backed by world-class investors including Redpoint, Felicis, and Tishman Speyer.

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled and user-obsessed Product Designer to help shape the experience of our sustainability platform. This role will be responsible for crafting intuitive, accessible, and elegant product experiences that meet the needs of our users and support Greenplaces' mission. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and customer teams, contributing to all phases of the design process—from research and wireframes to polished UI and usability testing.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to have a direct impact on a high-growth product that helps businesses make measurable climate progress.

What You’ll Do

Product Design & Execution

  • Own the end-to-end design process for core product features, from ideation through launch
  • Create user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes in Figma
  • Design experiences that are functional, beautiful, and aligned with user needs and business goals
  • Ensure design consistency across the platform, contributing to our evolving design system

User Research & Usability

  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform and validate design decisions
  • Translate insights from customer interviews and feedback into actionable improvements
  • Continuously iterate on designs based on user needs, feedback, and product strategy

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with product managers and engineers to ensure feasibility and high-quality implementation
  • Present design work and rationale to stakeholders in a clear and compelling way
  • Help foster a culture of design thinking and user-centric product development
About You
  • 4–7+ years of experience in product design, preferably for B2B SaaS platforms
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI design skills and user-centered thinking
  • Proficient in design and prototyping tools (Figma required; others like Sketch or Framer are a plus)
  • Comfortable conducting user research and usability testing
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills—able to work fluidly across disciplines
  • Passionate about creating intuitive, elegant solutions to complex problems
  • Bonus: Interest or experience in sustainability, compliance, or highly regulated industries
What We Offer
  • A chance to make a meaningful impact on climate action by helping businesses embrace sustainability
  • Flexible, unlimited paid time off
  • Generous medical, vision, and dental benefits
  • Equity packages for all employees
  • Parental leave
  • Mental health and family planning resources
  • Remote and hybrid work options
  • Annual team and department retreats
Our Culture

We hire talented and passionate people from a variety of backgrounds because we want our global team to reflect the wide diversity of our customers. If you're excited about this role but your experience doesn't perfectly align with every bullet point, we still encourage you to apply. We're builders at heart—and if you share our values and want to make software toolmaking for sustainability ubiquitous, we want to hear from you.

Greenplaces is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate in hiring or employment decisions based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, disability, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or any legally protected characteristic.

Compensation

The compensation for this role includes base salary and early-stage company equity.
Salary is between $120,000–$140,000
