Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the country in which the role is being hired. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Mark43’s mission is to empower communities and their governments with new technologies that improve the safety and quality of life for all. We build powerful, scalable, and elegant software that sets a new standard for the tools upon which our first responders rely. Our users are diverse, and we are therefore committed to embracing diversity of thought and experience within our team.

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) team. In this role, you will help shape the systems that dispatchers, first responders, and public safety leaders depend on during critical moments. You will own and evolve key areas of our CAD platform, with a particular focus on connecting data, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities to the operational workflows where they can have the greatest impact.

A key challenge for this role is turning the growing volume of information available to public safety agencies into better, faster decisions. You will help determine how information from sources such as sensors, video, analytics platforms, and technology partners should flow into CAD and Real-Time Crime Center (RTCC) workflows and reach the people who need it. You will also help shape backend AI capabilities that synthesize complex data and accelerate human decision-making while keeping users at the center of the experience.

This is a highly collaborative and technically engaged product role. You will work closely with engineering to understand our architecture, data flows, and technical constraints, while also working with external technology partners to determine how their capabilities should be incorporated into the Mark43 product ecosystem. Success requires strong product judgment and the ability to make clear decisions about where to invest, what to build, what to integrate, and how those choices translate into meaningful improvements for public safety agencies and the communities they serve.

What You’ll Do

If you were part of our team, here are some things you would have done last week:

  • Made product decisions across complex CAD and RTCC workflows, balancing customer needs, technical constraints, data availability, business priorities, and longer-term product strategy to determine where the team should invest

  • Worked with engineering to synthesize data from multiple sources, including sensors, video, operational systems, and ecosystem partners, into experiences that help public safety professionals understand situations and make decisions more quickly

  • Helped define backend AI capabilities that can organize, interpret, and surface relevant information to accelerate human decision-making in complex, time-sensitive environments

  • Partnered with the ForceMetrics team to identify opportunities to bring insights from ForceMetrics data and analytics into Mark43 workflows, helping translate newly available capabilities into meaningful experiences for CAD, RTCC, and public safety users

  • Evaluated technology and ecosystem partners, determining when an external capability could strengthen the Mark43 platform and how it should be incorporated into a cohesive product experience

  • Partnered closely with engineering on internal capabilities and partner integrations, developing enough technical depth to understand system relationships, dependencies, tradeoffs, and the implications of different product decisions

  • Worked directly with dispatchers, supervisors, command staff, analysts, and technology leaders to understand how information is used today and identify opportunities to make workflows faster, clearer, and more effective

  • Owned the roadmap and execution for one or more areas of the CAD platform, taking ambiguous opportunities from discovery through prioritization, delivery, launch, and iteration

  • Used product analytics, customer feedback, operational insights, and business context to evaluate opportunities, make tradeoffs, and measure whether the products we build are having the intended impact

  • Collaborated with sales, implementation, customer success, and other product teams to launch capabilities, support adoption, and incorporate what we learn back into the product

  • Prioritized and refined the product backlog and handled the critical day-to-day work required to keep an engineering team focused, including resolving requirements questions, working through integration details, and balancing new capabilities with usability, performance, resiliency, and scalability improvements

What You’ll Need

We’re looking for a Product Manager with 4–7+ years of experience building and shipping software products, ideally in enterprise SaaS, data-intensive, workflow-heavy, or operationally complex environments. This level of experience is important because this role requires someone who can independently own a technically complex product area, make strong product decisions with imperfect information, and work across internal teams and external partners to turn data and technology into useful customer outcomes.

  • Strong product management and product decision-making skills, with a track record of evaluating competing opportunities, making clear tradeoffs, and creating focus for engineering teams

  • Proven ability to own products or significant product areas end-to-end, from identifying and validating an opportunity through execution, launch, measurement, and iteration

  • Experience working with data-intensive products or workflows, including the ability to understand how data moves between systems and translate complex data into useful product experiences

  • Technical fluency and experience partnering closely with engineering teams on architecture, APIs, integrations, data flows, platform capabilities, or other technically complex product areas

  • Experience working with ecosystem or technology partners, including evaluating external capabilities and determining how third-party products, data, or services should be incorporated into a broader product experience

  • Ability to understand the relationship between internal platform capabilities and external integrations and make thoughtful build, buy, and partner decisions

  • Experience using analytics, qualitative insights, and operational data to guide product decisions and prioritize investments

  • Comfort engaging directly with customers and translating complex operational workflows and pain points into clear product opportunities

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to create alignment among engineering teams, external partners, customers, and technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience taking products or capabilities from 0 to 1 and stepping into existing initiatives that need focused product leadership

  • Experience with AI-enabled products, sensor or video data, real-time systems, analytics platforms, or decision-support tools is a plus

  • Experience building enterprise, public safety, workflow-heavy, real-time, or operational products is a plus; direct public safety experience is not required

People who thrive on our team also tend to share the following characteristics:

Humble, open, and curious. You seek out different perspectives and ask thoughtful questions, whether you are learning from a dispatcher, digging into a data flow with an engineer, or evaluating a partner technology. You are willing to change your mind as you learn and care more about finding the right answer than being the person who had it first.

Decisive in complexity. You are comfortable making product decisions when there are competing customer needs, technical constraints, partner considerations, and incomplete information. You know when to keep investigating and when the team has enough information to make a call and move forward.

Technically curious and collaborative. You want to understand how systems work and how data moves between them. You can go deep enough with engineering and partners to ask good questions, understand tradeoffs, and turn technical possibilities into clear product direction without needing to be the engineer in the room.

Capable and driven. You take ownership and follow through. Whether you are defining a new AI-enabled capability, improving a CAD workflow, working through a partner integration, or stepping into work already in motion, you identify what matters most and help the team make meaningful progress.

Pragmatic and adaptable. You know that different products and teams need different things at different moments. You are equally willing to think strategically about the future of data-driven public safety, dig into an operational workflow, refine a backlog, work through an integration detail, or tackle the less glamorous work required to ship a reliable product.
