Job Summary:

This position is responsible for managing Product Development and Innovation of IPG led brands to optimize growth and brand strategy. The Product Development Manager will serve as subject matter expert for the strategic intent, development, and implementation of new products and enhancements. This includes the finalization of benefits, plan designs, leading the research and implementation of solutions for the smooth operations of the product, completing competitive analysis, customer research, and the identification/development of product needs.

The Product Development Manager must be able to champion end-to-end thinking and effect development steps to support customer needs, business opportunities within a timely manner, and other business-related tasks/projects as assigned.

Main Responsibilities:     

  • Works with other Technology areas to make tactical decisions about product functionality.
  • Manages projects that consist of a single development team.
  • Propose and manage demand for application work.
  • Manages projects through all phases and milestones.
  • Manages product feature/capability set for business solutions.
  • Performs market and competitor analysis.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Basic Qualifications: 

Experience: 10 year’s relevant experience

Education: Must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college)
  • Associate’s degree in a Technical Field
  • Certification in relevant focus area

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Partners with senior leadership to draft multi-year strategic growth plans
  • Drives annual revenues by improving use experiences, resulting in lead conversion for insurance.
  • Builds and drives roadmaps and designs new features and enhancements
  • Define and execute product strategy
  • Makes recommendations on long-term operating decisions regarding product development and distribution strategies

Accountability/Complexity:

  • Implements strategic goals
  • Typically, responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams
  • Frequently responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees across the company within area of expertise
  • May direct the work of other individual contributors and/or act as a cross-functional lead
