Pay Scale: Negatable based on licensures and experience level.
Summary:
Provides nursing services to the medical unit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides medication evaluation, medication checks, calls in prescriptions, obtains samples, sometimes may provide individual, group and family therapy and subsequent paperwork.
- Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning, case support activities
- Provides crisis intervention consultation to all members of the team
- Participates in peer review process for therapists
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor
Special Attributes: Strong psychosocial, clinical assessment skills. Minimal supervision regarding use of time, able to prioritize work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively with professions and clients/families. Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
Education and/or Experience:
RN: Graduation from a accredited school of nursing and one year of experience in psychiatric nursing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
OR
LPN: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and prefer one year of experience in nursing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
AND
One year of experience working with Children and Adolescence.
