What are we looking for?

We're looking for a strategic and execution-focused product leader with a proven track record of launching and scaling complex products that drive meaningful business impact. You should be adept at annual, quarterly, and monthly planning, with a strong ability to break down ambiguous challenges into clear, actionable strategies. A data-driven mindset is essential, with expertise in experimentation methodologies (A/B testing, multivariate testing) and the ability to translate insights into impactful product decisions. Experience in D2C products is key, with bonus points for exposure to marketplaces or globally complex offerings.

You thrive in fast-paced environments, excel at stakeholder management, and have a passion for mentoring and developing team members—whether as an informal coach or with an eye toward future people leadership opportunities.

There's a huge opportunity to make mental wellness a daily practice, and we have many ideas on how to be the de facto platform to make that possible. We are looking for people who are as passionate about the health and wellness space as we are and want to have a huge impact. This role reports to the CPO of BetterHelp.

What will you do?

  • You will join a squad of high-performing, collaborative PMs, Engineers, Designers, and Data Scientists who have built a solid foundation and are ready to scale the business to the next big milestone.
  • In this role, you will work at the intersection of Product, Design, Legal, Compliance, Security, and Regulatory as we further develop or build upon our strategic goals for the business and continue to innovate.
  • We leverage AI/machine learning & experimentation methodologies, and value data-driven decision-making where appropriate.
  • You will partner closely with engineering and legal/security teams to build features and drive innovation across our platform, ensuring we protect our user's data and comply with regulatory constraints as we continue to grow in the US and abroad.
  • You are passionate about leveraging user-centric approaches to drive product adoption and growth.
  • Drive the product vision and roadmap for your area of responsibility and ensure it is well aligned with the CPO's strategic roadmap.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, data science) to execute on the roadmap.
  • Leverage data and experimentation or user testing/research to improve product performance.
  • Define and track key success metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize product performance.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to shape company strategy and product vision for your area of responsibility
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, competitive threats, and emerging technologies related to your area of responsibility
  • Comfortable navigating fast-paced environments, making rapid progress, and aligning diverse, opinionated stakeholders around a shared vision.
  • Drive product governance and development processes to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.

What will you NOT do?

  • You will NOT worry about "runway", "cash left", or "how much time we have until the next round". We have the startup DNA but we're fully backed and funded, all the way to success.
  • You will NOT be confined to your "job". You will get involved in product, marketing, business strategy, and almost everything we do.
  • You will NOT be bogged down by office politics, ego, or bad attitude. Only positive, pleasure-to-work-with people are allowed here!
  • You will NOT get yourself burned out. We work hard but we believe in maintaining a sustainable work/life balance. Really.

Can I work remotely?

Yes. We operate on PST and candidates in any time zone are welcome to apply. We ask employees to travel to our Mountain View, CA office up to three times per year plus one company-wide offsite to collaborate in person and strengthen working relationships. Travel expenses are covered and reasonable accommodations are made for those under unique circumstances who cannot travel.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product management, with minimum 3 years leading complex product initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (CS, Eng, or Business) and nice to have a Master’s in a related field

  • Product Leadership & Impact: Proven success in launching and scaling impactful D2C products, with experience in marketplaces, global operations, and product-led growth.
  • Strategic Execution: Strong planning skills with the ability to break down complex problems and align stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Expertise in A/B and multivariate testing, leveraging insights to drive product performance.

  • Experience working on products at scale
  • Strong portfolio of launched products with demonstrable business impact
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product development tools
  • Excellence in quantitative analysis and making data driven decisions when appropriate
