As Principal Product Manager, Software Factory, you’ll define and bring together GitLab’s end-to-end software creation experience, from planning and specification through coding, review, and verification. You’ll connect capabilities across GitLab Duo Agent Platform and the wider GitLab product so customers have a cohesive and delightful experience. This is a senior, high-visibility role for a product leader who can shape product direction, work across organizational boundaries, and clearly present recommendations to executive leaders.
What you’ll do- Define the product vision and strategy for GitLab’s end-to-end software factory experience.
- Bring together planning, specification, coding, review, and verification workflows into a cohesive product experience.
- Partner with product, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams across GitLab to align priorities and execution.
- Identify gaps, dependencies, and opportunities across GitLab Duo Agent Platform and related areas of the GitLab product.
- Use strong product and design judgment to make complex workflows clear and useful for customers.
- Build support for product decisions through clear communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Present product direction, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior and executive leaders.
- Help shape how GitLab brings its software factory vision to market.
- Product management experience at principal scope, leading complex products or experiences across multiple teams.
- A strong understanding of the end-to-end software development workflow, from planning through verification.
- Experience with artificial intelligence products, developer tools, DevSecOps platforms, or related technical products.
- Technical judgment that supports effective collaboration with engineering teams and informed product decisions.
- Strong product design and user experience instincts, including the ability to connect separate capabilities into a coherent experience.
- Experience influencing across functions, resolving competing priorities, and moving work forward without relying on direct authority.
- Clear communication and presentation skills, including experience working with senior and executive leaders.
- An ownership mindset and the ability to make progress in a fast-changing product area with some ambiguity.
