About the Role
We’re looking for a Principal Product Designer to build the next generation of Huckleberry’s mobile product offerings. As a Principal Product Designer, you’ll lead and own design cycles that turn user insight into exceptional, intuitive experiences that delight and empower our users. Areas of Responsibility
- Lead and own end-to-end new product design, ensuring solutions align with user needs and business goals
- Create brand new products and experiences that solve user needs in creative, delightful, and innovative ways by deeply understanding user behaviors, motivations, and pain points, and advocating for user-centered design decisions
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to define problems, prototype ideas, and deliver high-quality experiences that ship to users.
- Leverage data and insights to inform design decisions, validate concepts, and measure impact.
- Maintain a high standard of craft through thoughtful use of design tools, such as Figma or Sketch, and a design process that showcases clear reasoning and user-centric decision-making.
- Drive innovation by staying curious and informed about evolving design trends, technologies, and best practices, sharing learnings to elevate the team’s collective expertise.
Requirements
- 7+ years of product design experience, with a strong focus on mobile app design
- Track record of creating new products or experiences in emerging or undefined spaces
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, usability, and accessibility
- Demonstrated ability to use data and user feedback to inform, validate, and refine design decisions
- Strong collaboration skills, with experience partnering closely with engineers, product managers, and researchers to deliver impactful user experiences.
- Strong curiosity about new design trends, emerging technologies, and best-in-class experiences
- Strategic mindset with the ability to connect design solutions to business goals and metrics
- A portfolio that clearly demonstrates design thinking, decision-making process, and measurable impact on product outcomes
