About the Role:

CrowdStrike's IT organization manages strategic vendor relationships critical to our company's success and technological advancement. We're seeking an exceptional Principal IT Vendor Relationship individual to oversee a $300M+ annual vendor portfolio and drive strategic partnerships across our global organization. This role will be instrumental in implementing vendor governance frameworks, optimizing costs, and ensuring maximum value delivery through structured relationship management and collaboration with key stakeholders, particularly our Procurement team.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with Procurement to lead strategic vendor negotiations and relationship management initiatives

  • Design and implement comprehensive vendor management frameworks and governance systems

  • Drive 15%+ cost optimization through vendor consolidation and contract optimization

  • Develop and monitor vendor performance metrics, maintaining 95%+ SLA compliance

  • Manage strategic planning and execution of vendor optimization initiatives

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Procurement, IT, Legal, and Finance teams

  • Oversee vendor performance monitoring and QBR program management

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in IT vendor relationship management

  • Proven track record of successful collaborative contract negotiations and cost savings

  • Expert-level proficiency in vendor risk management and governance

  • Strong technical acumen combined with business strategy expertise

  • Excellence in stakeholder management and executive communication

  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Procurement organizations

Bonus Points:

  • Experience managing vendor relationships in cybersecurity industry

  • IACCM, CPSM, or similar professional certifications

  • Advanced expertise in contract law and negotiation

  • Strong background in cloud services and software licensing

  • Experience with vendor management tools and technologies

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $155,000 - $270,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
