In this role, you will work on diverse and high‑impact consulting engagements that deepen expertise across power systems, markets, and energy infrastructure. You will collaborate with utilities, developers, and large energy users while contributing to complex advisory projects that prioritize quality, safety, and customer value.
This is a strategic, externally facing role focused on business development and project execution to expand the footprint of Power Consulting on the West Coast. You will help shape market presence, convert opportunities into successful engagements, and act as a trusted advisor to customers navigating system planning, grid modernization, and energy security challenges.

How You’ll Make an Impact- Expand the West Coast consulting footprint by sourcing and shaping new opportunities
- Own the capture process, from client discovery through proposal development and negotiation
- Apply commercial rigor through opportunity qualification, contract, and risk management
- Strengthen market presence through thought leadership and targeted partnerships
- Act as a trusted advisor, translating complex energy needs into high‑quality proposals
- Lead high‑impact advisory projects, ensuring delivery quality, timelines, and client satisfaction
- Contribute as a technical and commercial multiplier within project teams
- Monitor and adapt to evolving market trends and industry players
- Proven success in business development for advisory services, generating over USD 1M in sales
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field; MBA is an asset
- 10+ years (Bachelor’s), 8+ years (Master’s), or 7+ years (PhD) in power system studies or research
- Experience delivering advisory services and developing winning consulting proposals
- Strong expertise with power system or market tools (e.g., PSS®E, PSLF, PSCAD, PROMOD) and Python
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills
