- Define and maintain business capability maps, target-state operating models, and strategic roadmaps that align business objectives with enterprise priorities.
- Identify capability gaps, dependencies, risks, and modernization opportunities, and develop recommendations that improve business performance, scalability, and customer outcomes.
- Partner with Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Data, and business leaders to drive alignment on strategic priorities, investment decisions, and transformation initiatives.
- Support portfolio planning, business case development, and roadmap governance through strategic analysis, capability assessments, and executive-level recommendations.
- Lead complex cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across multiple organizations to advance enterprise capabilities and business outcomes.
- Convert business strategy into executable capabilities and solution designs, influencing capabilities that are accounted for in roadmaps that connect business objectives to process, data, application, and technology transformations.
- Shape both the technology architecture and the business operating model, ensuring processes, roles, governance, and platforms evolve together to accelerate organizational change and business outcomes.
- Develop strategic analyses, business cases, and recommendations that inform investment prioritization and long-term planning.
- Ensure strategic intent is reflected throughout planning, solution design, and execution activities.
- 7+ years of architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Business Architecture certification or equivalent experience in capability modeling, value stream analysis, or operating model design.
- Experience within financial services, consumer lending, cards, payments, servicing, loyalty, or decisioning domains.
- Experience supporting product operating models, portfolio planning, investment planning, or roadmap governance processes.
- Experience leading enterprise modernization, simplification, or transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with business architecture frameworks, capability-based planning, customer journey mapping, and target-state operating model development.
- Experience developing executive-level business cases, strategic assessments, and investment recommendations.
- Experience translating business strategy into business capabilities, operating models, roadmaps, or large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across complex, matrixed organizations.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
- Experience partnering across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Data, and business teams to deliver strategic outcomes.
- Proven ability to identify dependencies, risks, and opportunities across large portfolios and develop actionable recommendations.
