We operate primarily in the B2B environment, selling our products through licensed HVAC dealers and contractors. These dealers are independent companies that sell, deliver, and service Carrier, Bryant & Payne products to residences and businesses in their respective markets. Objective

This position is responsible for driving and sustaining gross margin improvement through ongoing pricing analytics and margin audits. It monitors pricing and margin performance, identifies and diagnoses trends and anomalies, and translates insights into actionable recommendations for pricing and process changes. The role partners with cross-functional teams and regional leaders to align on next steps, builds repeatable ways to communicate findings and drive resolution, and tracks impact on gross profit for leadership visibility.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct day-to-day margin audits by analyzing pricing, cost, volume, and product mix dynamics to uncover trends and anomalies impacting gross profit.
• Categorize findings into root causes (e.g., reporting/data issues, pricing policy exceptions, and execution gaps requiring regional action).
• Recommend pricing changes and/or process improvements based on analytical findings and sound business judgment.
• Partner cross-functionally with associates in Pricing, Finance, Sales, Product Management, and regional teams to align on recommended actions and next steps.
• Build trusted relationships with regional business team members by translating insights into clear, practical guidance for decision-making and execution.
• Influence without direct authority by supporting teams through implementation, adoption follow-up, and resolution of barriers.
• Develop and maintain repeatable methods and procedures for communication, alignment, and resolution of margin audit findings.
• Summarize weekly/monthly work performed and track gross profit improvement for leadership visibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related quantitative field, preferred.
    • 2+ years of hands-on experience in pricing analysis, business financial analysis, or data reporting.
    • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., dynamic lookups, complex formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation) and general familiarity with BI/reporting tools.
    • Demonstrated ability to use software tools to run daily pricing analytics, track margin movements, and flag policy exceptions.
    • Experience with SaaS pricing platforms such as Pricefx, Zilliant, Vendavo, or PROS (Pricefx preferred); strong pricing/margin analytical judgment and discipline in execution.
