Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a Digital Asset & Money Movement Integration Lead to bridge next‑generation customer solutions with the bank’s core banking, payments, and financial infrastructure. This role will play a critical function in enabling digital asset and real‑time money movement products to scale safely and sustainably within a bank‑grade operating environment.

The Integration Lead will work across core systems of record, payments rails (ACH, wires, RTP), general ledger, and financial reporting, ensuring new products are operationally sound, financially accurate, and aligned with U.S. Bank’s risk, compliance, and governance frameworks. This role requires deep traditional banking experience combined with the ability to partner closely with digital products, technology, treasury, finance, and risk teams.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned financial services professional who understands how banks operate, ledger flows, settlement, controls, and approvals, and can pragmatically translate innovation into solutions that meet regulatory, audit, and enterprise risk standards without stalling progress.

Key ResponsibilitiesCore Banking & Platform Integration
  • Lead integration of digital asset and money movement products into legacy and modern core banking systems and real‑time systems of record.

  • Ensure accurate and auditable flows across general ledger, sub‑ledgers, settlement, and reconciliation frameworks.

  • Partner with technology teams to define operating models that support real‑time and blockchain‑enabled transaction processing.

Payments & Money Movement Enablement
  • Support integration with ACH, wires, RTP, and emerging real‑time payment rails, ensuring operational readiness and resiliency.

  • Help design end‑to‑end transaction lifecycle flows, including posting, settlement, exception handling, and reporting.

  • Collaborate with Treasury Management and Payments teams to align new capabilities with existing infrastructure and controls.

Risk, Finance & Governance Navigation
  • Lead coordination across Finance, Risk, Operations, Legal, and Internal Audit to enable product approvals.

  • Ensure new customer solutions are supported by bank‑grade risk assessments, controls, and governance artifacts.

  • Translate regulatory and policy requirements into practical implementation guidance for product and engineering teams.

Cross‑Functional Execution
  • Act as a connective layer between digital product teams and traditional banking functions, reducing friction and execution risk.

  • Support executive decision‑making with clear documentation of trade‑offs, dependencies, and control implications.

  • Contribute to operating model design for scaling digital asset and money movement activities within the enterprise.

What You’ll Own
  • Integration strategy between digital asset products and core banking infrastructure

  • Ledger, settlement, and financial reporting flows for new money movement capabilities

  • Risk, finance, and governance engagement for product enablement

  • Operating model artifacts supporting regulatory readiness and internal approvals

  • Cross‑function alignment between innovation teams and control functions

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 10-15+ years of experience in traditional banking, financial operations, treasury, finance, or payments infrastructure roles.

  • Deep understanding of core banking systems, general ledger architecture, settlement, and reconciliation.

  • Hands‑on experience with ACH, wires, RTP, or other payment rails.

  • Proven ability to navigate risk, compliance, financial reporting, and governance processes within a regulated financial institution.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience briefing senior stakeholders.

  • Experience supporting new product introductions in regulated banking environments.

  • Exposure to digital assets, blockchain, or real‑time settlement technologies (direct or adjacent).

  • Familiarity with sub‑ledger architectures, real‑time posting, or event‑driven accounting models.

  • Prior experience partnering with innovation, fintech, or emerging technology teams.

  • Understanding of regulatory expectations related to payments, custody, or novel financial products.

  • Strong systems thinking and attention to control integrity

  • Ability to translate between technical, financial, and risk perspectives

  • Pragmatic problem solver with a bias toward enablement, not blockage

  • Comfortable operating in complex, matrixed organizations

  • Clear, disciplined communicator who produces executive‑ready materials
