What You Will Do:

  • Own Beam’s onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless experience for employees.
  • Administer leave programs, including FMLA, LOA, and ADA, ensuring compliance and employee support.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for HRIS systems (Rippling, Quantum Workplace, Lever, and Checkr), managing configuration, data entry, maintenance, reporting, and conducting regular audits for data integrity.
  • Support benefits administration, including open enrollment, QLEs, eligibility determinations, communications, system updates, audits, and assisting employees with questionsAct as the primary liaison with Finance on payroll changes and respond to employee payroll-related inquiries.
  • Maintain and update the People Team’s Confluence page, job description database, and job grade data.
  • Handle employment verifications and I-9 verification.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for general employee inquiries regarding benefits and policies via a shared inbox.
  • Provide talent acquisition support, including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial interview screens as needed.
  • Support and promote Beam’s culture through engagement initiatives and employee experience programs.
  • Assist with special projects and contribute to ongoing People Team and department initiatives.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve People Operations processes and policies while maintaining a high standard of excellence.

What Skills Will Help You Be Successful:

  • 5-7 years of human resources generalist experience
  • A Bachelor's Degree and HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) are preferred
  • Experience in a fast-paced or start-up environment requiredInsurance industry experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and administration, specifically FMLA and ADA
  • Experience working with a broker for benefits administration
  • Experience working with and configuring HRIS systems; Rippling experience preferred
  • Impeccable organization and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to build company presentations and draft company-wide communications
  • Strong data skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to change in a rapidly growing start-up

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position.
