Who we are:

Glydways is reimagining what public transit can be. We believe that mobility is the gateway to opportunity—connecting people to housing, education, employment, commerce, and care. By making transportation more accessible, affordable, and sustainable, we empower communities to thrive and unlock economic and social prosperity.

Our mission is to revolutionize transit with a solution that delivers high capacity, exceptional user experiences, unmatched affordability, and minimal environmental impact.

The Glydways system is a groundbreaking network of carbon-neutral, interconnected transit pathways powered by standardized autonomous vehicles on dedicated roadways. Operating 24/7 with on-demand access, it offers personalized and efficient mobility—without the burden of heavy upfront infrastructure costs or ongoing taxpayer subsidies.

With Glydways, we’re building more than a transportation system; we’re creating a future where everyone, everywhere, has the freedom to move.

What You’ll Do

Support and Maintain Core People Infrastructure

Compliance, Policy, and Risk Administration

  • Ensure day-to-day compliance with employment laws across states (and countries, if applicable).
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate policies, employee handbooks, and internal guidelines.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Finance, and People leadership on audits, reporting, and risk mitigation related to people operations.
  • Act as a point of contact for sensitive or escalated employee matters in partnership with leadership and Legal.

People Support & Benefits Administration

  • Help manage compensation operations, pay cycles, and equity administration in partnership with Finance.
  • Manage the execution of benefits enrollment, leave tracking, and policy-related updates.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions on HRIS, payroll, and benefits.

Employee Experience

  • Own the employee lifecycle experience—from Day 0 (preboarding) to exit.
    • Coordinate the onboarding process to ensure a consistent, welcoming, and effective start for new hires.
  • Maintain high-quality employee support channels for resolving HRIS/payroll/benefits questions.
  • Be a go-to resource for employees on “how things work” within People Operations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements for efficiency, compliance, and scalability.
  • Partner with leadership on initiatives that support company growth and operational readiness.
What You Bring
  • 7+ years in HR, People Ops, or HR systems/operations, with 2–3+ years in a high-growth tech environment.
  • Experience managing or improving People Ops processes in a startup or scaling organization.
  • Deep familiarity with modern HRIS platforms (e.g., Sequoia, Rippling, Gusto, BambooHR, HiBob, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment law and multi-state compliance.
  • Comfortable with data and tooling (Sheets, Excel, Notion, Airtable, or even SQL = a plus).
  • Clear communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving operational challenges.
  • Experience supporting international HR operations (Deel, Rippling, Oyster, Papaya Global, etc)
  • Familiarity with equity administration, option grants, and compensation workflows.
Why You’ll Love It Here
  • You’ll help shape the employee experience and maintain the systems that keep our people supported and engaged.
  • We care deeply about transparency, autonomy, and building a company we’d all want to work at.
