I'm Katie Burke, Manager, People Operations at Teamworks. Our People Operations team is the engine behind the employee experience here, making sure everyone, whether they're in the US, UK, Canada, or one of the markets we support through our EOR partner, feels genuinely taken care of from day one. As that global footprint has grown, benefits and leave have grown right alongside it, enough to deserve a dedicated owner who can go deep in this space while still being a flexible, hands-on member of the wider People team.

This is a specialized People Operations Coordinator focused on benefits administration and leave management. You'll be the person our employees turn to with their benefits questions, the one building clear learning materials that help people actually use and get value from their benefits, the trusted guide for employees navigating a leave, and a key part of how new hires get oriented to their benefits when they join. There's a lot to build here and I'm looking for someone who's genuinely employee-focused and wants to own and grow this as we scale over the next few years.

The Role
  • Own US and global benefits administration end to end, including health, dental, vision, life, and voluntary plans across our US, UK, Canada, and EOR markets, from new-hire enrollment through terminations with accurate, timely data in the HRIS

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions, resolving issues and guiding employees through their plan options, and manage relationships with benefits providers to ensure accurate billing, contract compliance, and quality service

  • Manage leave for US and global employees, including the leave management system and serving as the hands-on, trusted expert who guides employees through statutory, state, and FMLA leave as well as short- and long-term disability

  • Lead the annual open enrollment process and build engaging education materials and presentations that drive higher benefits utilization across the company

  • Partner with Finance and payroll to scale proper use of our HRIS, run regular audits of benefits data for accuracy and compliance, and keep leave and enrollment data accurate across US and international payroll

  • Support the People Operations team in projects related to employee engagement, retention, and development initiatives, ensuring that benefits are integrated into overall people strategies.

What I'm Looking ForWhat You Must Bring
  • Hands-on experience administering multiple benefit plans, with US benefits experience as the foundation and global exposure

  • Direct experience handling state-level parental leave, FMLA, or PFL paperwork, since supporting employees through leave is a core part of this role

  • Experience working within an HRIS, Rippling preferred

  • A genuine people person: approachable, confident in front of employees, and mature and empathetic enough to handle sensitive leave conversations with care

Even Better If
  • You've worked across multiple countries (statutory leave knowledge across UK, AUS, and CA) and benefit structures

  • You've managed benefits through acquisitions, including COBRA scenarios

  • You bring EOR experience or specific experience with Quebec benefits

Why This Role

You'll have real room to shape how employees experience their total rewards, improve how our plans work across markets, and grow into a true subject-matter expert as the company scales globally. It's a rare chance to make a function your own and see the direct impact of what you build.

This role is not eligible for sponsorship at this time.
