Alkami provides Digital Banking services to a broad range of Financial institutions. Our partner program facilitates mutually beneficial relationships that help our customers gain better access to the services they need. We offer a variety of partner levels to optimize our support of third party vendors and products.
The Partner Relationship Manager II is the strategic interface between partners and Alkami. Responsibilities include identifying new partner products, ensuring the Alkami sales team is equipped to sell partner products, aligning Alkami product managers with partners, and the overall success of partnerships.
The Partner Relationship Manager II works cross-functionally to align partner growth with Alkami’s product vision, sales priorities, and client needs. This role independently drives results by supporting revenue growth, defining partner strategy, overseeing partner enablement, positioning the sales team for success across partner relationships, and ensuring partner relationships are technically supported and operationally sound.

Essential Job Functions

  • Own the overall commercial viability and health of an assigned partner portfolio.

  • Define partner value propositions and support the sales team with clear direction on ideal customer profiles, whitespace opportunities, targeting strategies, and end-to-end sales processes.

  • Work with partners and internal stakeholders to increase sales efficiencies and maximize the value of partner products.

  • Develop and maintain per-partner and/or portfolio strategy aligned to Alkami’s broader product and company vision.

  • Facilitate recurring business rhythms, including pipeline calls, quarterly business reviews, roadmap reviews, sales enablement sessions, and major partner presentations.

  • Track and report progress toward established revenue goals, partner priorities, and key issues.

  • Collaborate with Solution Engineering on sales demo plans and enablement support.

  • Serve as the vital bridge between external partners and internal Alkami teams, including Product Owners, Product Marketing Managers, Sales, Accounting, Legal, Compliance, and Partner Operations.

  • Ensure partner products are incorporated into the development lifecycle and that roadmap updates, technical hurdles, and implementation needs are communicated effectively.

  • Lead cross-functional alignment on product positioning, technical differentiators, annual marketing plans, and required sales support.

  • Independently navigate internal teams and escalation paths to resolve partner issues and prevent service gaps.

  • Maintain Master Partnership Agreement (MPA) terms and coordinate timely amendments for new products, pricing updates, and term changes.

  • Facilitate pricing discussions and align with current pricing review processes with Product, Accounting, Marketing, and Sales.

  • Proactively resolve unowned or unexpected issues related to partners you’re managing including stalled implementations, support gaps, misaligned expectations, or billing and accounting discrepancies.

  • Ensure communication with internal and external stakeholders is consistent, prompt, and collaborative.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate has previous experience as a Partner Manager, building and managing and Partner relationships with SaaS companies focused on the financial services space.

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 6+ years of relevant experience.

  • Experience building and managing partner relationships within SaaS, preferably in financial services or banking technology.

  • Experience managing, selling, or deploying software for banks or credit unions.

  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated business acumen and negotiation ability.

  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and drive complex issues through to completion.

  • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions and levels of leadership, including senior internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative and effective ways.

  • Solid understanding of financial accounting and P&L concepts, including the ability to build financial models and present to executive leadership.

  • Experience supporting strategic planning, sales enablement, partner growth initiatives, and cross-functional operational alignment.

  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and evolving partner needs.

  • Up to 15% travel.

The salary range for this position is: $112,000 - $140,000Cool Things to Know
